game is hell or heaven, hell is for ones who are masochists who pick anything higher than 6. or people who are just not understanding of the game or stupid.

Typical Civ game, it is addictive despite the fact that you will never be good at playing it.

It feels like after 3600 hours I can actually review this. Civ V is on the "older" side considering we've had BE, 6, and now 7 release as of the review. But this one for me is just the best of the bunch outside of something like Alpha Centauri. There are loads of ways to play and beat the game, from just boosting your culture and making your civ the one everyone wants to visit, or just brute force nuking everything and everyone and taking what you'd like. It's not overly complicated but can be super nuanced. The CPU's are solid (except for you Gandhi), multiplayer with friends is just an all time blast. Scenario's are fantastic, at at this point we've had Steam mod support for a good long time. Without any real point to be made, Civ V is a fantastic turn based strategy game that can't be overlooked. If you enjoy them, this one is almost always on sale and is worth the buy. Here's to the next 3600 hours over another 15 years.
