Step into the monochromatic and mind-bending universe of the Shift series developed by Antony Lavelle, where black and white landscapes hide more than meets the eye. This collection unites the original four titles - Shift, Shift 2, Shift 3, and Shift 4.

the cc is still a lie :D
Exactly like playing the old versions of Shift. Perfect.
ive never played these games because i didnt know they existed when i was in school. glad i get to experience them now.
A collection of classic flash games centered around flipping and orientation to give new perspectives. These games aren't remastered or remade, so they still have all their original charm and jank from their original releases. Some extra level packs were added which was a nice touch, but overall I think you know what you're getting when you buy this game, whether it be for nostalgia or a curiosity for what flash games were in the late 2000's through to the early 2010's. Achievements are also not too harsh, although there are no guides for the game at the moment of writing this review so some achievements may require you to look up guides on external websites if you're confused about some of them (for me it took however long I've played at the moment of this review being written, not a very tough completion to commit to). Overall, very 5/10 game, and that's okay. It won't blow you away, but the gameplay is fun enough for you to enjoy your time and feel that you've gotten your money's worth.
The games are exactly how I remember, to the point where my first session of Shift 1 and 2 in years was completed with pure muscle memory. There are a couple extremely minor graphical glitches here and there, like the Shift 2 and 3 doors not having their arrows and a couple incorrect achievement popups, but that's more of a nitpick than anything, it's certainly not a deal breaker. Having all the Shift games on Steam and in a collection like this is so unbelievably nice and convenient. No longer would I have to look up shady flash websites to play these games... not that flash games even work on browsers anymore, but still. If you're at all interested in puzzle platformers of any sort, this is the game for you. The puzzles start off simple, but make no mistakes, they'll get more complex as it goes, and in the best way. My only real and true complaint is that Shift 2, 3, and 4 no longer have level creators. I guess they were replaced by the player packs, which is FINE, but like, half the fun of level creators is actually CREATING levels, so it's a huge shame that it's not here. If you really wanna make levels in Shift, might as well do so in Shift Quantum, since that game DOES have a level creator. The lack of a level creator is a bummer, but it's definitely not the end of the world. I couldn't recommend this game series enough, they're so good for what they are, and 5 bucks is a steal! Just don't expect Shift 1 and 2 to be very long. They're very short games, and that's not a bad thing! Now I just gotta get my hands on Shift Quantum!
Simple but fun.
it's an okay collection its absolutely worth the money either way, these games are great and im happy to see them perserved for the future, its just a little dissapointing there wasnt shift extended or shift dx in here (esp bc that one was a 2016 3ds title) and it wouldve been nice to have them, i get why shifting worlds isnt here because id imagine its a lot harder to get working but yeah, good if u havent played them but a little dissapointing as a like. legacy collection
