About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

OK I've tried to get into "Librarian: Tidy Up The Arcane Library" But just couldn't for some reason maybe because it was just books but this game with all the plethora of cool items, awesome potions and different things even vegetables. This scratches an itch. I'm not even a particularly organized person... In fact I live a very chaotic existence, but for some reason this is exactly what I needed. What more can really be said. This trend of tidy up organizational games is a pretty good one in my opinion... I'll probably be checking out different ones from now on... I like the price point of this game. If it were like 15 bucks I don't think I would have bought it.
I really am enjoying my time with this game. It came out with three maps and multiple modes, so we're not waiting around looking for more stuff to do!

I've played a few other games in this genre (Arcane Library, the puzzle gallery, one of the supermarket ones), and I find this one really refreshing. It's vibrantly colored and visually appealing, which adds to the relaxation element to me, and I like the variety in items. Even situations where it's variations on a berry, the colors are visually distinct and that helps it feel more enriching, versus like, 15 slightly different kinds of cheese packages. I enjoy the map variety too! This is my favorite in this genre so far by a wide margin.
The game is what you expect it to be. I appreciate the active updates from the Dev to improve the experience. I'm personally a big fan of the timed category and looking at the leaderboards. Looking forward to the Co-op mode being completed to play with friends!
Suuuuper relaxing
I felt very bibbidi-bobbidi-boo playing this. 10/10 would recommend as a way to de-stress and cozily put things in order when life's out of order (:
It looks pretty nice and they clearly put some attention to detail in the wares, nearly all (except the veggies which are just recolored normal vegggies) look good and often have funny names. That's about where it stops being good. This game feels like an asset test game. Like they just made those assets for another game and quickly wanted to slap together a product to make money to fund the game they made this for. Because the assets look too good for that game and everything besides the assets looks like it was a rush job. And looking at the developers page, I guess I hit the nail on the head, probably an asset test for their early access game. If you think there is any more to the gameplay than what you see in a single screenshot you're mistaken. Yeah it's half on me to expect any more, but in other cleanup games you do get more. Here you get nothing. No meaningful upgrades (I come to that later), no story, not even the satisfaction of cleaning up because the initial mess didn't look at all "real", like you clean up a well used shop, or a shop after an earthquake or something. No, the items are just dumped in a pile on the ground. There is no physics interacting with them, the upper items just hang in the air if you remove stuff from under them, there is no player interaction as you clip through them, there is nothing and it feels artificial from start to end. You never feel like you cleaned up a mess, you feel like you sorted a folder in your file system. Those spells and tools they advertize on the game page? Only exactly 2 upgrades are helpful, the rest does nothing or somewhat takes away from the game. There are two types of upgrades, enchantements and spells. Enchantements are inventory size, reach, speed and multi jump. Inventory size is crucial, but the rest? The speed makes you so unconfortably fast that you probably turn off sprint and are slower than at the start if you invested too much into it, you never have any reason to jump ever and why would you need more reach if you have to inspect the items up close anyway? Then the spells. Those are 3. Highlight the item you're holding, gather every other item of the type you're holding, and automatically file your inventory to shelves. The first one makes sense. The other two just means you have less game to play, because picking up and putting away is ALL you do. Of course they are handy with annoying items like books, or to sort if you carry a large number of different items, but ultimatively they don't help you play, they play for you, because as said, sorting is all you do. So if you let a button play for you, why play at all? Why not instead have upgrades that would actually improve instead of shorten the game? for example, instead of automatically filing away, maybe sort the currently held items as it works as an "first in last out" stack so to effectively sort if you picked up more than one thing, you have to throw it all to the ground somewhere else. Maybe a spell that makes items of the same type slightly magnetic for a short while so the pile you have to sort seperates a tiny bit into potions/vegetables/weapons or something? Of course that would require physics. There are many things they could have done with this. Not overwhelmingly so because it's a simple game type, but still. Be able to actually nibble on some of the plants, drink a swig of some of the potions, use some staffs and get funny effects. Better upgrades (see above). Physics interaction so you could wade through the pile of trash. Maybe some potions randomly broken and you have to figure out what potion it was to order a replacement. A timelapse at the end. Different places to clean up, like a dungeon, a witch hut, a dragons lair (in game are exactly 3 locations and all 3 look the same, just differently sized). A mode that mimics those public freakouts when someone just throws items from the shelfes, eg, shelves half filled and the items on the ground are close to where they belong. Hell even just have a nice mural or something under the pile of stuff that you can uncover.
I currently have an obsession with games where you tidy spaces. I have Teddy's Haven as well, and just like that title, I can tell that a lot of love and care went into this game as well. I would consider this a great game for all skill levels. I myself am starting with the first store and working my way up to the big ones. The labels are easy to see and follow. The enhancements and spells help more and more as you go along, and the art style is similar to their previous game, so it is very pleasing to the eye. I would get this game if I were you. It's a quality title, and the price point is very affordable, so why wouldn't you give it a chance? You won't be sorry!
Honestly surprised with how much I enjoyed this, even replaying for some of the achievements. I wish there was a way to swap entire shelves with one another instead of changing each item individually, but otherwise a great time.
Love Teddy's Haven so I'm very happy with this little offshoot of an organization game.
