Seven days with the Ghost

[h1]Review:[/h1] I would hesitate to call this an outstanding story, but it was still good and heartwarming. I lost the plot a few times, and there were a lot of typos in the later half, but it wasn't unreadable and I still found myself enjoying it. There were frequent side tracts that hindered the flow, and I feel like a lot of plot elements were just used to facilitate a H scene, but it was still a good read. The visuals and music were good though. It's been a minute since I've seen a character art style like this, and I found it refreshing in a way. Also, the menu system felt very nice compared to most VNs. I know that's a bit of a weird thing to say, but I just noticed it felt nicer than most others I've played. All of the little effects really added to the experience to. The transitions between the scenes, the particles expressing emotions, the screen effects, all of them were a really nice touch. Finally, The uncensored H scenes were good. There. I said it. I came for the story, but I'll admit those scenes were pretty hot.

Entertaining read

Visual novels starting from brainstorming threads on 2chan and 4chan continue to amaze me in their deep thought process and beauty in stories, especially in regards to their acknowledgment on struggles LGBTQIA+ people face. Seven Days with the Ghost may be fictional in terms of being a future where magic and demons exist and ghosts while not common aren't exactly out of reality but, in regards to how gay people are treated, has a slow-burning, realistic journey of a seemingly straight girl in a traditional country coming to terms with her homosexuality. Although LGBT rights have improved globally since production of the game in 2008, the creation of this game in 2011 and even when the English translation came out in 2018 as the creator noted, there unfortunately still are stigmas and struggles in regards to personal and outside world accepting queer people. Even in the future where hopefully LGBTQIA+ problems are little to nowhere an issue, I believe people will still look back at this fondly for its usage of the occult and mystery with the struggles of accepting your sexuality. For that, I highly recommend this game.

I really liked this one. Very cute, playful style, nice art, lovable characters, good voices, decent length and more than one ending. It deserves more attention than it's gotten, I think.

I enjoyed the game, the music is peaceful, but near the end the grammatical errors seem to really ramp up, not too sure what happened, but theres still an interesting story to be had if you can work past it
