About
Indulge in an mysterious adventure filled with risk, romance, comedy, and death. Put your rhythm skills to the test as you try to win over the hearts of six serial killers—if you can survive them.
After waking in an unfamiliar house, you find yourself stuck with a group of strangers, all as confused as you are. Together you try to reveal the mysteries of the house and what brought you all there.
The narrative of Serial Lover is presented in a visual novel format with frequent player choices for additional dialogue. As you progress through phases of the game, you can choose a killer to pursue, but are challenged with a rhythm game you must complete to seduce them!
6 killers to seduce, each with their own endings and backstories!
23 original rhythm tracks to master - from beautiful ballads to neck-breaking bangers!
19 CG character artworks to reveal!
4 semi-branching chapters of comedic, dramatic, and downright deplorable narrative experiences!
Partial voice acting!
Arcade mode and leaderboards for rhythm game sweats!
Serial Lover features a roster of 6 romanceable characters, each one more peculiar than the last.
Teddy Denver - Socially awkward public embarrassment. Confidently wrong. Doesn't really care about anything.
Jenny Burnham - Burning pit of hatred and murder. Ready to explode at the drop of a hat. Previously a nurse.
Edwina Kennedy - Wholesome optimist and hands-on country girl. No flaws whatsoever. Protect at all costs.
Andria Cermak - Seductive siren with a craving for meat. You can trust her with your life. Definitely.
Ben Conway - Reliable support and trusted companion. A partner-in-crime until the end.
Harmony Sharpe - An intellectual amongst the commoners. Flawless logic. Abhorrent god complex.
This game contains mature content and dark themes that may be disturbing to some audiences.

I do not think you could describe this game as a dating sim. There is no dating involved. Immediately after meeting the characters (and avoiding the dialogue option that makes them end your life), you are able to "seduce" them and hop right into the rhythm sections. The rhythm sections are genuinely fun to play and well mapped, but I feel like the ones in the story mode could be cut a bit shorter, especially with the arcade option where you can play full tracks. Some of the tracks are 3+ minutes long, and when you aren't expecting it, they can tend to drag. This game could be great if the story was more than, "hey, don't kill me, wanna bang?". The story gets more fleshed out as you progress, but it isn't enough to be fulfilling. Hopefully the sequel/dlc brings in more quality to the story itself.
Played it all the way through, I liked that it makes you go through every route and the characters were all expressive and fun. to top it off the soundtrack was incredible. Highly recommend but I just wish it had more controller compatability.

Very interesting rythm game, good story and realateble character backgrounds. Overall a nice game with good atmosphere. 10/10
Okay now this was a cool game. Finished it in 3 hours so not too long, but I thought that the character's had interesting stories that felt unique, the art style was great, and the songs was awesome! I suppose I could say 'I wish it was a longer game' but I felt like the length of it was just right. Can't wait for the next game - very well done to the developers :)
What can I say, a great short game that leaves a grin on my face like old school arcades did in the 90s. This is a fantastic PC version of a guitar hero like rhythm game that happens to have some suggestive art/character designs but it is definitely NOT a gooner game or NSFW game (not that you would want to play this at work anyways) Took 2.5 hours to beat the story and I can't wait to just keep tapping away in arcade mode afterward. Do hope there's a part 2 for real, will keep an eye out for them on kickstarter. The characters are wonderfully dark and each interaction/unveiling is just short enough to leave you wanting more. Definitely don't skip this if you like rhythm games (ASDFG buttons) and you like dark comedy/drama storylines.
this game is fun, but i wanted more. Not enough interaction i feel, and the ending is... well abrupt.
I like it :3 I will also like to engage the developer in mortal combat for the FC achievements, they hurt my fingers but I eventually got it done. Can't wait to see what else is in store for the future though.
fun game
