The town of Prefield was once a bustling hub, built to support the nearby mines and the promise of rich mineral resources. Over time, though, the mines ran dry, and the town began to fade. Families left in search of better opportunities, leading to a slow socioeconomic decline.
What was once a lively community turned into a ghost town, notorious for marauders and scavengers who now roamed the area in search of a fortune. Prefield became a place where few dared to stay, except for those who had nowhere else to go — squatters and the homeless found shelter in the abandoned houses.
You take on the role of a scavenger, looking for valuable items hidden away in the remnants of Prefield. One building stands out to you: an old two-story country house that seems to hold something worthwhile. You decide to explore and see whether there is anything of value that you can take for yourself.

Хороший гнетущий своей атмосферой, приятный графон и эта фича с подвижным фонариком сделана хорошо, минус - когда играл видел края картинки (квадрат). 7.5/10

Scauage is a quick indie horror game where you play as a scavenger exploring an abandoned house, hunting for valuables with a small flashlight you will also start uncovering the house's dark secrets. I completed two full playthroughs and all the achievements in less than an hour, so it’s very short game. I appreciated that there were no jump scares at all. The game instead builds a consistently tense atmosphere that kept me on edge the whole time. The graphics are fine (nothing extraordinary), and the story is okay, but overall it was an enjoyable little experience. It’s the kind of game you can finish in one sitting when you’re in the mood for something creepy but not too long or overwhelming. If you’re looking for a brief, atmospheric horror title with good replay value for achievements and multiple endings, this one delivers. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s well worth scavenging through...just watch what you pick up.
small semi-scary game with atmosfear and couple screamers but without any bag guy running after you which is good. its enough as it is. good for achievments. but the game have some technical problems like you cant turn on vsync - no settings at all. and you can stuck like something wrong with your W button like it doesnt work or like some models of junk on the floor is stopping you. but it was free...
10/10 experience, if my memory got wiped pls tell me to play this game. DO NOT get spoilers for this game. I'm not even going to lie, this was probably one of THE best horror games I've ever played. The atmosphere just hits differently. There's a constant buildup with banging and things falling, which makes you think there's going to be a jumpscare is just peak, but the game doesn't resort to a jumpscare; it lets that horror buildup, especially at the end, which I am not going to spoil because this is a game that everyone should experience without knowing anything. Unlike other horror games, it doesn't depend on something we see, but more on the unknown, which I love because that is what I believe is true horror, the fear of the unknown, and this game implements it so well. There's also the absence of unnecessary lore which I've seen a lot in games trying to replicate the horror of FNAF; the game puts you in the perspective of a character, and you are as clueless as the main character is. That absense of lore also makes me wonder more about the ending, which I actually find interesting, and lowkey might be one of the most unique ways to end a game.
This easily has some of the worst mechanics I have ever seen in a game. Is there a reason that to open the doors, I have to move my mouse around to find the exact micro pixel to hover over in order to open it? Not to mention having to drag the doors open and missing once means I have to go back to finding the handle again??? I actually really liked the story but i just couldnt get passed how annoying it was to just simply open doors. My veins are filled with rage.
хороший инди-хорор на вечер с другом играл и смотрел как я срался от звуков
