Scampr

Scampr is set in a whimsical world with a quest that doesn't make much sense. With beautiful graphics, stunning locations and an immersive environment, it is more of an experience than a game, though there are a series of objectives to complete before winning the game. It is an open world exploration, and there were times I was not sure what to do; This is the kind of game where a guide or walkthrough would be helpful to a lot of players. An easily accessible map is available for the main area to guide you, which does help to find one's way around. As part of the experience, moving the camera around blurs the vision, which some players may find uncomfortable. I did half expect as a squirrel to be able to climb any tree I came across, but found that you can only climb in specific locations that allows this, other than using your jump to get up some not so difficult places. The soundtrack is a pleasant atmospheric one which also aides with immersion. I don't think this is a game for everyone, but for those who would enjoy this kind of experience, I think that the price is actually a good price for this game. Themes: The player cannot die, not even from falling from a great height (Though, you are a squirrel). No weapons, other than some statues holding swords. There's one odd statue that looks like a devil. Some objects appear to be magical/supernatural or some unexplained technology.
