Found this game thru Reddit, just giving the dev feedback. So the atmosphere isn't bad especially if this is amongst your first games. It's a dark spooky house and it's raining so i mean not bad. I really liked the sequence that would play out whenever you went to bed and I was surprised that nothing ever happened during that, unless it was your intention to subvert that expectation. Either way, it was a well made reoccurrence that had good tension and was a good way to end each night. Also the introduction with the guy on the phone was cool. When inside the small bedroom, when you are up against the wall, it will say you are in the basement. Prolly cause the basement is on the other side of the wall but just wanted to let you know. I'm not gonna rip you on the story here too much as i could've missed a few points here and there although I will say the story is not terribly compelling. Also I feel you could've had it hit a little better at the end by not spelling it out, like it may have been cooler to leave it to the player to insinuate what occurred. I will say, offering the player the choice of how to end it is a nice touch and I will say it was a good idea. I feel the chores could've been laid out better if they were written on a to-do list of sorts instead of just having objectives appear on the screen. The less taking up space on your screen for these types of games, the better, you know for like immersion. The layout of the lodge was also kinda bizarre, and not in like a spooky way. Like accessing the basement from the 2nd floor? Gotta say that's a new one. I think a better way to do interiors for future reference would be like tight corridors, small rooms, and maybe a more conventional house layout. Overall for a solo indie dev starting out, its an ok game. Not great but not terrible. I think what really takes away from this game is the jumpscares. When the shower sequence was playing out, i was like "oh yes this should be cool", to which I was met with a underwhelming jumpscare. Same with the main monster, how it's sole mechanic is based on jumpscares. It was just pretty dissapointing. You developed a decently atmospheric environment and instead of utilizing that to its best potential, you insert periodic spooky surprises. A jumpscare here and there is fine whatever if done tasefully, but the majority of the game relying on them is something I'd recommend avoiding. Hope this review doesn't deter you, I can tell you poured your heart into this and i think you could cook up something pretty cool, just keep at it.

You begin the game standing outside in the rain, facing a creepy, isolated house. Your boss calls to tell you that you’re supposed to fix various problems around the property, but you quickly learn that you’re stuck there, as the bus only passes by once a week. Unfortunately, the house isn’t just unsettling from the outside. Inside, it carries the tragic story of a young girl and a dark presence that eventually became her only friend. The house contains several rooms that aren’t locked, but there isn’t much to discover except open a few drawers. Even though most of the furniture and belongings are still in place, giving the impression that the house was abandoned suddenly, the passage of time is clearly visible through broken objects, cobweb-covered walls, and numerous maintenance issues you’re expected to fix. Your objectives are always displayed on the screen, and the game makes things easier by highlighting key locations with a bright color. After completing all assigned tasks, you can go to sleep and begin the next day. The first few days are filled with basic chores such as repairing floorboards, fixing leaks, changing lightbulbs, and cleaning paintings. As each new day passes, or rather each new night, because unsettling events tend to wake you after dark, the experience becomes increasingly disturbing. You begin to encounter more strange sightings and sudden jump scares. One of the most notable appearances is a tall, dark figure with a smiley face. It never directly harms you, but it frequently appears when you turn around, creating constant unease. About halfway through the week, you also start uncovering more about the house’s secret, its former owners, and the mysterious connection between you and the building. With each passing day, new doors open and the house slowly expands, though it remains freely explorable throughout the entire game. You can read scattered notes that reveal additional bits of story, or search for two hidden rooms, one unlocked by finding switches and another by lighting candles. These secrets are tied to optional achievements, and thankfully, the game never locks you out of earning them. Like the developer’s other works, the game can be completed in about an hour. Although there are two endings, the game makes this convenient by saving near the conclusion, so you don’t have to replay the entire experience to see both outcomes. Aside from one faulty trigger that displays the incorrect room name and a moment of unclear direction involving the cubes in the doll room, there are no major issues. In short, a decent horror indie for one playthrough.
Edited after the updates, though this is still more neutral than fully positive. So, after replaying the game with the updates by the dev, I think it's a lot better of a game. The jump scares are better paced, so they still actually get a jump out of you rather than an eye roll now. The atmosphere is still good, but the story is still... the story. There's nothing WRONG with the story, it's just very... indie horror game standard story. Sound design is solid though, and is a good contributing factor to the atmosphere. Also, I DID find the secrets on this second playthrough. They're fine. Nothing crazy or special, though if you find them on day one, they feel like they jump you ahead in the story from where you should be. My main two complaints with the game: 1. A few of the scares still feel like they happen in the wrong place in the house, and one of them ended up being silly because the
monster's legs spawned on either side of my head while I was stuck in an interact, and then he was blinking around the room until I looked at him afterwards.
2. Main characters who don't react to things bug me. Especially in a story like this.
At the beginning, it doesn't seem like we're AWARE this is our house. So, why is Carl not freaked out when he starts finding letters with his name on it? Or at the very least confused? If we've forgotten what happened here, it seems like there should be more than just the bits of dialogue towards the end of him recovering his memory.
Not a huge issue really, it just bugs me. The NON jump scares are the best ones in this game though by far. The "blink and you'll miss it" creepy scares. Also, the newly added nightmare sequence was a nice touch. My favorite creepy moment is for SURE the one when
you lay down at the end of the first night to sleep, and there's a slightly glowing figure in the corner of the room,
though the one
in the bathroom behind the shower curtain
is also a good one. It felt like there was a lot of missed opportunities for moments like those, which was disappointing (also contributing to the more neutral nature of this review.) TLDR - Good sound design, improved scares, just missed the mark on a story we've seen a lot in games, and on when/where scares and creepiness should be. Props to a dev who listened to their reviews though.
Скучная, унылая игра. Симулятор ремонтника в проклятом доме. Гавно. Не умеешь делать игры - ищи другую работу разраб. Бездарная игра.
Short, but very nice game. Finished it in about three hours.
Don't get me wrong. I liked this game. I had a fun time with it. I just can't see ever spending money on it. But I'll get to actual feedback. **SPOILERS** So the jumpscares weren't that great, despite one or two of them getting me decently. I've seen that feedback a few times, but atmosphere was handled very well for a solo dev project. I was constantly expecting something to happen, which is what a good atmosphere and good lighting can do to the brain. I was on my toes through the first two or three nights. After that, I realized that the game mostly ran out of tricks, and I was used to it. But I don't regret that initial experience. And keep in mind that I'm kind of a horror game nerd. This game was never going to scare me that hard, haha. With that said, sometimes a horror experience that is simply "alright" is really refreshing. I kinda liked the story, even if a few points were a tad confusing. But as a FNAF fan, that didn't really bother me lol. It's ultimately pretty simple, but it was great for context. The design of the monster was definitely generic, but have fun creating a completely new monster design in 2025. At the end of the day, it was a fun little experience that is only brought down by the price tag. This feels like the kind of game you release for free, get feedback, and THEN develop a paid game off that feedback. Heck, if this were like 2 bucks at all times, I'd say go for it, but on Steam, $5 goes a long way.
I really liked the athmosphere in this game, i laughed at so many jumpscares but some of them also got me, the game is short but its a cool story and i would like to see more of these kind of games. thank you for reaching me out to try out the game!
A short, tense horror experience. While I played the game a little over a month ago, and had gotten it for the low low price of free, I will try my best not to let either of those things affect my review, so as to give the best feedback and help the dev improve.

Atmosphere & Design
The atmosphere of the game and the sound design was top-notch. The atmosphere of the house was genuinely unsettling. The constant feeling that something is just around the corner, just beyond the area illuminated by the flashlight, really gets to you. And the sound of the unending rain beating on the windows adds to the unnerving feel. Having the majority of the jumpscares be "your mind playing tricks on you" instead of explicit jumpscares really adds to the atmosphere too. Overall, not much to say. Its just really solid.

Pacing
While the pacing works just fine, I will say that it does get a little bumpy, especially in the last few days. On that note, I do feel like the secrets mess with the pacing in a negative way. I was easily able to find both of the secrets on the first day. If it would be possible, making some changes to the
shapes puzzle would be nice
since I was unable to see the
hole in the wall outside for some reason
and ended up spending longer than I would like to admit in solving that puzzle. With that said, I do have an idea that I think could be cool.
Suggestion
The idea is actually about connecting the secrets to the ending.
Currently, the secrets don't have any effect on the ending, and you can get both the "Burning" and "Purification" ending. And I thought, "how cool would it be if it did effect the ending?"
So if you don't unlock the secrets before reaching the end,
your room in the attic won't say "Your Room" but would actually say something like "the previous owner's room" or your name or something along those lines.
In addition to that,
if you don't get both secrets, you can only do the "Burning" ending. And instead of your daughter, the wife pops up and says something like "How could you?!" so as to not give their relation away. And then when you get both ending, it gives your the choice for which ending you want, and also has the daughter show up in the "Burning" ending.
The dev doesn't have to add that, but I think it would be really cool way to improve the ending and secret section without really making any big changes.
Rating
Overall, it was a rather enjoyable experience and a fun two hours. I rate the game 7.8/10
