"Sargon's Lair" is a godawfully bad 2D retro pixel top down twin stick shooter. That's it. I'd talk about plot or whatever but this is so generic, it's not beige, it's grey. What do you do in the game? Twin stick shooting, negotiating through glitches and bugs, or, more popularly, uninstalling it. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 14 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Хочешь жить - умей вертеться
А точнее умей уворачиваться. А мы то умеем, ведь нас этому обучили такие игры как Enter the Gungeon и The Binding of Isaac. Игра на один - два раза. Не более. Но ради интереса пройти стоит.
+
Плюс игры разновидные противники, каждый со своим типом стрельбы. Второй плюс - игра устанавливается за 2 сек :D
-
Минус игры подземелье/подвал в котором мы находимся никак не детализирован. this is the most amazing game i've ever played. extremely balanced, completely original and not stolen graphics, and very fun. 10/10 would suffer through it again
if you hold space bar you can glitch through the map and also do the same to get back in! really helps skipping levels :D
Es gibt kein Ziel was man erreichen möchte.
simple but fun
The game is very glitchy you can clip through any wall by just pressing space wihile walking into it and if you do that it makes the game pathetically easy. also all of the sprites are stolen from other games.
This game is terrible! Not much more needs to be said. The title screen gets oddly cut off, most if not all assets are stolen, the game is cheaply difficult, and you can dash into the walls by holding space against them.
Fun game
