Reviews
The game is really simple, and the choices are obvious as can be for the routes you want. It's a bit buggy though, making it annoying. And the characters are pretty simple, so better for achievement seekers.

NICE STORY. EASY TO GET TO THE POSITIVE ENDING UNLIKE A LOT OTHER VISUAL NOVELS WITH MULTIPLE ENDINGS. ANOTHER SEX SCENE ATLEAST AT THE END, AS THEIR IS ONLY ONE, AFTER HE DECIDES TO STAY WITH HIS NEW CLOSE FRIEND AND BROTHER WOULD HAVE MADE THIS STORY MORE ENTERTAINING THAN JUST FAST FORWARDING THE STORY TO THE END WITH A SUMMARY OF THE REST OF IT. THIS IS VERY LITTLE SEX FOR A SEX VISUAL NOVEL.. IT'S STILL A NICE STORY AND WORTH READING AS LONG AS YOU DON'T MIND THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE SEX SCENE IN THE MIDDLE IT AND THEREFORE IT'S IN PG AND NOT AS ENTERTAINING FOR THE SECOND HAVE OF IT.
nice art style but wasn't very interesting to me
If short romance VNs are to your liking, on top of being at a budget price, then you might consider getting this one rather than a pack of crisps. Santa Monica Paradise presents a drive-by-romance, where each involved party has a wound to heal, and they only have a weekend to try. The middle-aged protagonist has just gone through a rough divorce, an aspiring jazz musician with a break-up to get over, and a reliable assistant struggling with a one-sided office crush. The available romance routes are fashioned in a more mature, down-to-earth way than a typical high-school romance tryst. Still, this is a brief story, so the romance part feels underdeveloped; it plays more like a prologue to a longer story rather than a complete one. Therefore, the 2 main endings appear fast and feel rushed. The page description mentions comedy, however, there ain't much comedy here, mostly just casual and polite interactions between recent strangers. The biggest flaw I can think of, and directly linked to the romantic aspects, is a lack of character development and a more exhaustive backstory. Chance meeting overview with minimal depth. Another problem is the lazy menu and overall design. The lack of settings on the menu screen gives a wrong initial impression. It certainly falls below modern standards, and a low budget does not excuse that. The visuals present here are mixed. While the character tachies are fine, the quantity of variations is low. Unless I missed something, there are only 4 CGs total, 2 of which are during h-scenes (all uncensored at least). Moreover, the majority of backgrounds are just blurred photos that look pretty meh. A low budget is more than evident. The lack of quality and variety of music tracks, especially considering that one of the heroines is a musician, only contributes more to the feeling of wasted potential. Heck, none of the scenes even show her playing. Missed opportunity. No voice acting and no sound effects either. No bugs encountered. Overall, despite all the criticism above, for the price asked, it is not the worst VN in terms of story, art, and music. It has budget quality, but it's still enjoyable enough to spend an hour or two with. Tepid recommendation from me: 5.4/10
SOOO CUTE!
