It's a short, boring, and ugly game (with the exception of a few scenes, all of which were included in the trailers) without gameplay.

It's strange to say, this game as a genuinely well written story beside the theme, overall was like to read a graphic novel with a little bit of interaction, and some hot scenes. I would suggest this for people who needs some kind of involvement in their adult interaction to reach the climax. No jokes, it can be very good and the fact it as multiple endings is only a plus for having your satisfying story :D

Very good visual novel. The game can be replayed two or three times. Personally I really like the drawings. The plot is ok, very centered to the advantage of the antagonist so some might not like it. In my opinion for €10 it might be ok.

This right there let me tell you you are in good hands. the scenes are impekable they had put so mutch in. they flew over every inch of silence. they understood that no one sould be left thinking back and that they deliver. Mather of facts wen you go there read and ask some question if you feel the need. coup de coeur

A strange dark captivating game that is surprising decent as well as being fairly sensual. In all definitely worth the price for being novel and high quality.

[i]Sanguine Rose is a visual novel I first played on F95. Afterwards I bought it on Steam to support the developers. With four mercenaries having kidnapped a very manipulating and seductive general and awaiting extraction in a claustrophobic house, a game of paranoia begins, where you cannot trust your fellow mercenaries... Or yourself.[/i] [h1]Flows[/h1] [list][*]Fantastic dreary atmosphere. Your team is supposed to be the kidnappers, keeping the general prisoner, yet the whole time you feel she has you in the palm of her hands, and not the other way around. Masterfully executed suspense. [*]Associated with the above: Great writing. The general is a fantastic seductress, who plans several moves ahead, and you rarely know what she's really thinking or how she will react. She works in word and mind games from start to finish. Even you as the player are a target for corruption, and you actually have to remind yourself that you cannot trust anything she says... Or can you? [*]You genuinely care about your companions, but at the same time you do not know if you can trust them. Great dichotomy. [*][spoiler]And speaking of untrustworthy companions you care for, Crow's (your cute loner-teen-coded half-orc companion) corruption route is just a chef's kiss. You can see her slowly get compromised as you progress.[/spoiler] [*]The art aesthetic is great, with Crow's dialogue portrait being the highlight. The sex scenes also look pretty good, in a different way from all the eastern anime-esque designs. It's all pretty raw, in a good way. [*]Each run is short and compact. [*]Great replayability, and the game's icon system on your choices helps you gather scenes you might have missed for the gallery. The story can go in wildly different endings based on your choices. [*]The lost chapters are a pretty fun, free addition.[/list] [h1]Flaws[/h1] [list][*]The general is a bit "too" op. She is smart & charismatic, sure, but also great at fighting, untying herself, somehow resisting poison... Only the brute orcess in your team "feels" like she could take her on 1v1. The rest of the guys "might" be competent in fighting, but it is not conveyed well at all, to the point that you're wondering why they're even there. [*]The routes of the game feel like the natural possible choices the player would have in that situation, except for one: We don't get to have a heart-to-heart with Crow before her corruption goes too far. The protagonist does give her a single sentence as a warning from time to time, but no more than that. There should have been a "You're done. You're out." moment with her. [*]Only 1 sex scene with Glasha. That's just a waste. [*]It could use some more animations, especially during the sex scenes. Even surrounding frames changing the hue slightly would have been great. You are basically watching a slideshow. [*]No voice acting whatsoever. At least some moans would have greatly enhanced the scenes.[/list] [b]100% recommended. It is suspenseful, it is hot, it is memorable. Thumbs up for purchase.[/b]

Guess I'll try this one out. Aaaand now I have all the achivements. Surprisingly good writing and world building with some hot scenes and dark fantasy vibes. If you can excuse the lack of much actual animation, and the unique art style, then it will keep you invested, especially seeing all the ways a certain petite half-orc can end up. Perhaps too short for the price, but I could come back to it every now and then to see my favourite scenes play out again.
