Rusty's Retirement

Idle game so good it made me buy the developers other game with the same characters. For something that should be resting at the bottom of your screen while you work on something else, it's very addictive and engaging. The Spriteart is so cute and watching the ever growing utomatisation happening all while you design your garden and making it look pretty. Very long game too if you want to get all the achievements. I got a bit unlucky with getting 250k crops, so a large majority of my end time was spent just waiting around without much input. Still, if you enjoy idle games or simply want a little farm sim, you will be happy with both.

This game is so good it makes job hunting in 2026 bearable.

Very satisfying. Simple game, but very, very good. Good gameplay, good aesthetics, good progression. Slow paced, so good to have going on the side. Pleasant to watch the drones do their work.

Usually I have this game on in the background as i'm applying for jobs online since i've got adhd and looking at how many hours i got on this game lowk made me realise how bad the job market is rn

awesome to have running when programming. Whenever I get stuck on an issue and completely lose the plot, I switch over to my little farm, build a little robot, plant some crops, and then get back to it. Its genuinely not a difficult game, nor next gen AAA mechanically speaking, but it offers exactly what it says and will keep you busy for a while.

Rusty’s Retirement is a delightful little game—perfect for having something running in the background while you focus on other tasks. It’s great to just keep open on the side, as long as you don't expect a deeply complex experience. Thumbs up!
