For a desktop idler I was expecting more of an automated kind of thing out of the gate. For instance, I was thinking it'd be more along the lines of a fish tank or ant terrarium where you make a change and then watch it change and grow, then later make a change and watch that impact it, etc...
For this game, it was having me plant crops, they'd grow and then I'd have to replant them and that'd occur very quickly. Now you can turn down the crop speed via focus mode if you want it to take longer but it simply stretches the growth speed. And like I guess that kind of makes it more idle but it feels like wrong or something, it's hard for me to describe.... it's like a similar feeling of playing against someone who intentionally loses to you but you know they did that is the closest thing I can think of... Anyway... I think the main brunt of the point I'm trying to get at is that I really don't like how the automatic planting is locked away with Splunk and how long it would take to get to that point. I'd much prefer that to be accessible at the start or at least very quickly unlocked since it's an idler game. If that option is ever added I'd probably re-buy and change my recommendation but until then it's just not for me as it's just not really idle from the start.
