Awesome 5 hour playthrough. This is a pretty unique game with its really cool cyberpunk aesthetic. At times it gives Blade Runner & Ghost in the Shell vibes. Plenty of good boss fights. I recommend playing with a controller and completing the playthrough in a single session.

I want to love this game and tried to approach it 5 times, each time getting done with it after first area after tutorial one. I adore the art direction and tone of the story. However - I simply can't get past controls. I tried both keyboard and xbox controller with both being simply horrible. Most comes down to character facing which has a certain floatiness while keeping everything oriented to a slight deviation from 90 degrees. This would be fine if game didn't also require precision with some of abilities and guns. I tried to find whether there are any discussions on how to fix it or some mods, but I only found discussion boards with developers defending it how it was the best possible with optimatiation for... double joysticks of all things. Second bad thing is difficulty. On medium it is too easy meanwhile on hard it feels like ,,random dmg boost go" Third is connected to second - bossess are just so boring with their simplicity that suffer doublky from difficulty as on medium you don't notice them doing anything when you kill them and on hard you don't notice what killed you from them.

If Doom 2016 had a glory kill fueled love child with hotline miami all set in a cyberpunk top down shooter that has a terrible story. Has more depth and complexity than most 3D person shooters. Excited for the sequel!
