Moderately spooky weeping angels-esque, but lacks a point or narrative that I would need to give a positive review

'Ruff Night At The Gallery' is an adorable short-form horror game with a unique concept. You explore a creepy art gallery at night, encountering haunted paintings 🖼️ of dogs 🐶 and spooky ghosts 👻. The game includes a save feature with multiple checkpoints, an extra level with a higher difficulty that becomes available only after completing the first level, well-crafted horror sounds, and charming canine-themed art. Completing the game, including the extra level, took me approximately 15 minutes, though it lacks any Steam achievements. While there is only one ending, the multiple checkpoints make it easy to restart if needed. The difficulty depends on your playstyle: if you're comfortable using checkpoints, I’d rate the difficulty at 1/10. But if you aim to complete the levels without being caught by the ghosts, the challenge increases, with the normal level rated by me at 4/5 and the New Game + mode at 6/10. The game’s short-form design makes it perfect for a quick but immersive experience. You’ll collect keys to unlock new areas of the gallery, but there’s a catch: the paintings move when you’re not looking! This adds an enjoyable layer of challenge as you navigate the spooky environment and dodge ghostly surprises. Just when you think you’ve got the hang of it, 'Ruff Night At The Gallery' ups the ante with the New Game + mode, where you can only use the up arrow key to move. It’s a hilarious twist that provides a rewarding challenge for players looking for more difficulty. Overall, 'Ruff Night At The Gallery' is an entertaining, bite-sized game that combines light horror with canine charm. While it’s not particularly deep or complex, it’s a fun diversion, especially for dog lovers or those seeking something quirky and quick. Just don’t get licked!
