Rubinite is an extremely challenging boss rush action game. in a dark fairy tale world, use Ruby's crimson eyes to expose the weak points of the Bloodstained monsters, then strike and shatter them. Carve a road home through the ruined Scarlet Kingdom and face the Witch who took it all.

Rubinite has my highest recommendation for being brave enough to eliminate everything but the bosses in a sometimes charming and frequently horrifying Bloodborne-esque bloodbath of an action RPG. The "focus" mechanic where you charge up a devastating slash by holding a trigger while targeting an enemy (or perfectly dodging enemy attacks while you glare at them) is both a fresh, exciting way to dish out damage and a dopamine rush every time it lands, all the way up to the final boss. Special shoutout to pixel art that belongs in a museum and some awe-inspiring music (especially the credits song)
Rubinite is by far the best new game I've played this year. The combat is tight and satisfying while giving a good challenge which never felt insurmountable, The narrative is interesting enough to keep me engaged and particularly the narrative decision leading into the second half of the game was both unexpected and honestly incredible. While this is going to sound incredibly unspecific due to me not wanting to spoil it, the execution of the second half of the narrative is something you would only see in an indie game, and while I can see the mechanical changes making some people upset, I think it was the correct decision as the second half of the game made for some of the most fun combat I've experienced in a while. Also the music and sound design was great and really felt like you were fighting these monsters that were made of flesh and blood. If anyone is afraid of a difficulty spike going into the second half of the game, you get two cheat death talismans which make it significantly easier. I did the entire second half with one cheat death talisman and thought the difficulty was honestly perfect at that point. So I would recommend Rubinite to anyone who wants a fun boss-gauntlet style game.
I wasn't expecting this game to be such a beautiful masterpiece. Every fight was a unique and fun challenge. The story telling was also CRAZY, especially in the second half of the game. I'm so glad I got to experience the story of Rubinite.
They still make good video games
One of the greatest Boss Rush games (if not the best) story rich + combat are great everything is good about this game wish everyone learn how to make a good game too.
Do you miss feeling the oh-so-(in)famous "Isshin the [strike]Glock[/strike] Sword Saint" high, from Sekiro? Do you miss that 4th-wall-progression feel in which it is NOT mainly the character we play who gets stronger, but rather I MYSELF as THE PLAYER; the NATURAL and gradual growth of in-combat judgements, spatial awareness, combat-planning, etc that is organically trained by each of the unique bosses (NOT via tutorial texts) to progressively and eventually prepare us for THE Main Showdown? Do you miss storytelling that naturally flows to New Game + and True Ending, which does not break immersion and DOES NOT NEED a 30 min youtube guide to "collect 20 obscure thinkamajigs scattered in random corners of the ridiculously large-but-empty map"? Well look no further to that "Add to Cart" button up there ;) P.S. Please don't be deterred by the "difficult" and "boss rush", tag; look at the completion rate of the game 25% - ish completes the game 100% Personally, i rarely 100% games myself, especially if they have "grindy" requirements e.g. low drop rate of certain items, need to complete some obscure missable side content and/or sweaty try-hard time trials.. Neither of those are present in this game, and even the "flow", from normal to New Game + is natural and does not break immersion, and actually BUILDS UP the 4th wall element previously explained above
На середине игры не мог понять, почему нет ачивок за прохождение боссов без получения урона. И только потом понял, что то, что в других играх является достижением, здесь - базовый минимум для прохождения.
This is one of the rare games I've actually beaten to 100%. The bosses struck the perfect balance—tough and fun, but never cheap. Definitely worth every penny.
Juego difícil de entender, pero cuando le agarrás la mecánica, se vuelve adictivo. 100%
