LOVED IT!!
It was SUUPER CUTE and funny! The game was a nice short play-through of 6hrs. However, you might find some triggers in it.
First off, here's a game description, since the store page didn't add one in English:
Follow, the main characters Sanezawa senpai (MC) and his junior Aijima who attend meetings for a club named "The Local History Research Association" which is actually a front for an occult society that likes to study supernatural phenomena. It's an erotic paranormal bl comedy, that follows the two characters around the town on a hunt for a rumored Yokai. A Yokai that appears and traps it's prey, while also giving them a feeling like never before! ;) Curious about the rumored sightings of this Yokai that lures in men, and traps them in dark alleyways, the two set off on the town (if that's the choice you make first) in search of this Yokai entity.
NOW WARNING & Possible game spoilers as I explain: This game does include triggers such as [spoiler]Getting drunk in one scene, but nothing intimate happening other than a kiss, water-sports, (also known as urine kinks), Glory hole sex, exactly what the name involves (this occurs in a bad end) and could be considered dub-con/non-con depending on one's perspective, because although the MC seems to want it, and initiates it --hoping it will help him escape the Yokai's grasp...the MC is still trapped by the Yokai in the first place, and also appears to be under the Yokai's powers/spell (we also never see the Yokai either, just the Glory hole) Hence why it could be seen as non-con/dub-con.
For the other triggers, it's subtly hinting at death in the two bad ends (one is the MCs RO as MC goes back to his apartment, and RO never returns from his hunt for the Yokai), and the other is of the MC and the yokai. Also, the MC's backstory which involves non-con, but you don't play through it if that's of interest to know, it's him relaying what happened to him in his past and where he's at currently with feelings towards having sex back then and now.[/spoiler]
I tried to put spoilers (it will be my first time adding spoilers on a review, so hopefully it works, and I'll try to fix it if it doesn't work the first time). I do recommend this game tho, it's not really dark in my opinion, it's more funny, lighthearted, and the good end was entirely consenting between the MC and his RO. Plus, super cute! Also, the longest route the game has to offer! Even the two bad ends weren't really that bad, tbh.
It was a super easy play-through as well and not complicated which I loved about it. The graphics and art also great, but the NSFW scenes are censored with pixels btw. Also, I speak English and had to use a translator to play this game. Yup, btw, NOT AN ENGLISH based game, just an English review of it. Sorry to burst that bubble, if you were hopeful for a min, but this game DOES NOT HAVE ANY ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS as of right now.
You can however, play using a translator you like (I used Textractor, but there are many out there) to help you read the game in your own language (although with usually poor translations compared to a real professional one). But, my translator worked pretty well and it was enough to still buy, and enjoy playing this game! 100% recommend it!
So to summarize:
-Not an English translated game (yet, hopefully they make one in the future), I do believe the menu config screen had the options to play with Japanese or Chinese subtitles, but I just played it as it was.
-It does have some triggers for some people (I left those in spoilers just in case)
-Super cute, funny, and lighthearted
-Has full VA (excluding thoughts, narrative text and side characters), only for the main 2 characters, and during intimate scenes as well.
-Short game-play of 6.1hrs, but enjoyable nonetheless
-Does include 2 NSFW scenes, 1 in a bad end, and you'll know it's a bad end when the end credits show up with a darker green background of sorts. And the other happy NSFW ending is the one between the MC and his RO. All NSFW is CENSORED, so just fyi in case anyone dislikes seeing pixel di***, lol.
And that's it! Hope this review helped for anyone looking to play it with a translator like I did, or for anyone in the future if they create an English translation! (btw if I have more than 6hrs logged, it's because I'm working on capturing text to make my own set of fan translations if I have time, so that it reads better, so no worries, it really is a 6hr play-through).
