Rocket League is easily my favourite game of all time. I play it every day, and somehow it still never gets old. It’s one of those rare games that is incredibly simple to understand but takes years to truly master. You can always improve your mechanics, positioning, rotations, consistency and decision-making, which means there is always another reason to queue up for one more match. What keeps me coming back is the challenge. Some days you’re playing perfectly, other days absolutely nothing goes your way, but I never give up. Every loss teaches you something, every mistake gives you something to work on, and every great match reminds you why you keep playing. There is no better feeling than hitting a shot you’ve been practising for weeks, making a ridiculous save, pulling off the perfect pass, or winning an intense overtime match where both teams are giving everything they have. Rocket League can definitely test your patience, especially in ranked, but that is part of what makes improving feel so rewarding. Your progress actually feels earned. Thousands of matches later, I can still jump on and have just as much fun as I did when I started. It’s competitive, frustrating, exciting, addictive and unbelievably satisfying. I play every day. I lose. I learn. I improve. I queue again. Never give up. 10/10 — See you in overtime.
