Roadside Research is a 1 to 4 player co-op gas station simulator. Except you’re aliens. And undercover. Do very human things like restocking shelves while preparing for the invasion. Just don’t get caught.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.43/day in the week to Aug 13 → 13.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Aliens have landed on Earth… to run a gas station. Play solo or up to 4 players and do human tasks to blend in. People depend on you, it’s your job to make sure that the shelves have the correct items, refuel customers passing by, and provide food for travelers. But most importantly, you must conduct your research.
Your mission is simple. Gather all data you can from humans without their knowledge. Scan, steal, and test various methods on customers while they stop by the gas station. Be careful not to raise the “suspicion meter” too high, as that will trigger the visit of government officials.
During the day, take care of the gas station as an ordinary employee. Restock the shelves, order wares for the shop, refuel passersby, and exchange goods for cash. At night you will be able to gather your thoughts, and plan for the next day.
Balance between two missions, upgrading the gas station to attract more customers and upgrading your alien tech to process data and gather information more efficiently. To blend in, draw a very normal human expression on your state-of-the-art disguise.
During closing hours, you can also upgrade the station, inside and outside to make sure everything is going according to plan.
Chaotic solo or co-op fun: Gather friends or play alone to manage the gas station while pursuing your alien mission.
Dual Upgrade Path: Manage upgrades for your gas station and for your alien technology at the same time
Satisfying Simulation: Clean, cook, and stock your workplace with all necessary supplies and items to make sure every customer leaves satisfied.
Alien Deception: Make sure to stay disguised and don’t get caught by human government officials. If you are too suspicious, they will turn you into goo.

I had a great time playing!! Easy to figure out.
This game is so fun to play with friends! It's both funny and scary when agents come to your shop. We are obsessed.
Game is fun but I have ran into several issues in just the 2.3 hours I've been playing - not enough to ruin the game, but had to stop due to being unable to reconnect - just said that the game was closed. "Disconnected - Game is Closed" every time that I tried to rejoin. No sync issues, no lag issues, crashed once, internet went out once which caused us both to disconnect, but the rest of the issues were very minor typical things you'd expect from an indie game - especially one with multiplayer. Still highly recommend it - wasn't constantly disconnecting or anything due to the game itself. As a minor aside - this game does appear to be using Dedicated Servers as when our internet disconnected briefly we were both kicked out of the game. This is both really dumb as a design decision and kind of dumb as a business strategy. Guys. Why are you paying for dedicated servers for 2 - 3 people to play a game together with friends who are likely within shouting distance? x.x Marketing beats really have people making the wildest decisions - don't use dedicated servers if you aren't intending to make a live service game lmao. The game isn't competitive, there's no economy, and I'm presuming there isn't even any real reason behind this other than a google search that pointed you at Proton or "idk Unity Multiplayer is built in.." x.x if any devs are reading this: Mirror. FishNet has done absurd harm to them - as has every other person who desperately needs to claim that their product has a reason to exist - but fr Mirror is goated. It's also so ubiquitous, stable, and well documented that an LLM agent would probably have you ported over in an afternoon - but that's just my hot take here - clearly the networking is the only thing people are even complaining about. I'd take the time to solve this and save a bunch of money on servers you have zero need for x.x unless I'm about to start jumping out of a flying bus next week and landing on an island full of roblox players which uh.. wow, fate worse than death.
they should rename this game Saucer K
Simple, entretenido, bastante contenido y te mantiene siempre de un lado para otro, Ojala le sigan metiendo mas contenido para hacerlo aun mejor!!!
