Rivals of Aether

After playing Rivals of Aether 2 first, I can confidently say I love Rivals of Aether 1 way more. When I get hit in Rivals 2, I think "how the ♥♥♥♥ did I get hit by that" and in 1, I just think "yeah I got outplayed, fair" the controls are so tight and fast and actually work, for some reason in 2 it feels like while I'm playing a ghost will take my controller and move it around randomly, but in 1 it feels so good to move around and execute combos. It doesn't feel like you need to know 50 different techniques to be good at the game and everything just feels great. Love the artstyle and it really made 1 feel unique, and the workshop is top tier. Some parts still feel a bit melee-esque or straight ripped from melee, especially the characters, but I feel like this game at least has more of an identity than it's sequel.
