Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition

I loved the many customizable options for the horses, the different sports you can participate in, and the breeding option that is based off of genes. However, I do wish the coats and genes when breeding were a little more realistic. The animations for the horses are REALLY well done. I especially appreciate you can play this game on an old 15+ year laptop. I do wish updates came sooner, but I understand.

Definitely a super fun game! I've played on mobile for a few years, it was full of microtransactions and I'd consider it very pay-to-play, but nonetheless I still enjoyed the game. But when I found the desktop version, omg!!! I've had a blast with it so far. There's plenty of grinding to do but not so much that it feels like you can't make any progress, I find it to be very well balanced, at least for my preferences. It's very easy to make money and I love that there's only one currency on the desktop version and absolutely zero microtransactions. The way genetics work ingame definitely still isn't the most realistic, but it's better than most horse games on the market that I've personally played so far! The mechanics in the game are also awesome. I haven't touched multiplayer yet but all the campaign races and mechanics work flawlessly for me. Everything is very easy access and simple to understand, and I am LOVING the create a horse feature. I'm not the biggest fan of not being able to breed custon horses until you reach max level (Prestige 20) but at the same time I do get it, it's something to work towards! All in all I'd give this game a solid 9/10, with that last point only being taken off for the genetics realism and the strange look of the "majestic mane" trait... And maybe partly because the Akhal-Tekes look so scrawny, haha! Definitely would recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun and mostly realistic horse game to spend time on, but I'd also definitely recomment waiting until it goes on sale as I do find it a teeny bit pricey for what it is, but at the same time, I tend to be pretty frugal and have no real idea how much games are really worth, haha!
