Solid Solid Solid. Good solo great with a group
I completely understand why people love Risk of Rain 2. The character variety, item synergies, progression, and constant build experimentation are genuinely excellent. But the actual moment-to-moment gameplay just isn’t for me. As a run goes on, it becomes faster, louder, and more chaotic, with huge numbers of enemies, projectiles, and effects filling the screen. I generally prefer slower, more methodical combat where positioning and individual enemies matter, and FPS gameplay isn’t my favorite genre to begin with. So this is less “bad game” and more “great game, wrong player.”
good.
rain is spooky
Fun, replayable, unique gameplay experience.
