I'm by no means a mil-sim player, so my experience with this game definitely differs a bit from the typical reviewer, but this game feels like it has some major problems to it. Admittedly, the gun play does legitimately feel quite nice, I had a nice +80 kill game and enjoyed actually being able to shoot my enemies. But that feels like the major flaw I ran into. Half the time I died it was from some random explosive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that I had no way to counterplay. Be it an air strike, artillery, a grenade launcher, or a damn gunship in the sky, I just had no recourse to try and fight back. This is especially worsened, since it seems like only the American teams get access to these things? I could definitely see how someone could have fun with this, but like, come on, spawn die spawn die spawn die is not the most fun thing on the planet. I really wish steam had a neutral rating, because I'd absolutely rate this game that. Kinda feels like someone wanted to make a power fantasy game where America actually won the Vietnam war.
