Mr developer, if you ever read this, keep your head up high. You're in a rough patch now but i know that you'll eventually rise from the pit you've sunk into. From this small game, it's clear to see the passion and creativity you have for your work. This drive you have to give it your all is admirable, and I hope it takes you far in other avenues. Hope you get back on your feet and back into game development eventually. Best wishes from myself and the rest of the community <3
RFA Station has a lot going for it - both in how it looks and how it plays. It nails that 90s-early 2000s gaming vibe in a way that feels super nostalgic, and it’s clear the developer knows how to capture a great atmosphere. There’s real potential here to be something special. That said, the game doesn’t just feel ubfinished, it is unfinished, and selling it in this state isn’t the best move, even if times are tough for the developer. Honestly, even a simple endless mode - like a wave-based survival setup - would’ve made the game feel more polished and complete. The developer should be upfront about this. Players will be more understanding if they know what to expect. Pretending it’s fully done when it’s not just makes things harder for everyone. Still, I see the passion behind this project, and I hope the dev gets a chance to revisit it someday. There’s a lot of talent on display, and I’d love to see what RFA Station could become with more time and work. Don’t give up - this could really be something great! I hope, should there ever come a time in which it is fully developed, there is story as well. Just don't give up, Mr. Dev! I hope to see this game miraculously finished even if it takes 20 years.

RFA Station is, well, at face value an asset flipped FPS. Indeed, I was going to go into the usual warnings to gamers about this being a zero value asset flip, and that's still largely true. However, the developer released the source code on Github, which kind of works against the general unethical nature of asset flipping (although I can't wait for another asset flipper to grab that code and dump it straight back onto Steam with their own name on it... the circle of asset flips!) However that then poses a difficult problem... while the developer has gone above and beyond by releasing source code (a truly noble thing to do that creates a permanent, standing contribution to the body of video gaming and the industry), they're still trying to charge money for this, even if you could just pull the code and roll your own version for free. Charging money for free stuff is not okay. At the end of the day all that matters is whether this would be a fun game for you, the gamer. And the answer is no. In terms of gameplay, this is a weak and unpolished exercise in plodding through FPS levels on a space station or whatever and blasting robots. If you really love FPS games, then my advice would be to play every single other one first, then if you manage that, you should maybe consider this, but I still advise against it. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 110,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 110,000+ games on Steam? RFA Station is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
