Pretty good game. No cheap jumpscares, controls feel nice, map is pretty big, very nice tutorial, and the player looks very nice all this game needs now is multiplayer and i imagine it'll be up there with Phasmaphobia
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/487Fw1M2iM0 So this game has a lot of similarities to Phasmophobia, but it nowhere near as good as Phasmo. It's basically a single-player Phasmophobia and you're playing on the school map. There's also a bit of a story here where you're an occult investigator and you're trying to find out what happened to a missing girl. You have 4 tools that you can use: a cube that reacts whenever a demon / revenant is nearby, a stun light grenade that stuns & then slows the demon, CCTV cameras, & tesla shock coils that can trap an area. You also have a tablet that can give you case information or that you can use to take UV photos. You'll see clues using the UV and you can also use it to damage revenants with magic photos. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On high graphical settings, the game was running at a steady 90 fps on my RTX 3080. You have full locomotion as well as smooth and snap turning (along with degree of turn or how fast you smooth turn). You also have head directed or hand directed movement, along with a comfort option. You can play the game seated as there is a crouch button, but I did find that I was a bit too low to the ground by default so I played standing. Overall, this game is budget priced at only $13 USD normal price (I paid 10% off release sale price). For that reason, I can recommend it even though it is lacking in the depth to the gameplay. I think the biggest weakness (compared to Phasmo) is the sound design / sound mix. It's not very good in this game and there were long stretches of game time where there was absolutely no sound. I also think the game could use a lot more depth to the gameplay. I was never really scared like I was in Phasmophobia. It is in Early Access though and it is a nice start to EA (just not a nice of a start as was the case in Phasmo). taking a break after almost 4 hours and enjoying it so far, map has lots to explore and there's always something interesting to find with the uv
Been a VR pleb for a solid 5 years, I rarely review anything because I'm extremely lazy, but this game has made me want to voice my nugget of a voice! This is absolutely worth your time, it has the correct amount of weirdness, areas where you have to use your noggin and spooks for days! If I were to give you a rough example of what it is like, picture Phasmophobia but with the ability to defend yourself and build up a case to see what ACTUALLY happened to the poor ghost! Little to no bugs and ran beautifully smooth! This is only the beginning, I can see this taking off. I streamed it LIVE to capture my initial reactions here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1251153574
Although it's still in early access I feel this game has a lot of potential if the devs stick with it. For now you get 1 mission, but for me it's still incomplete. More on that below. First off is a game that's pretty similar to Phasmophobia in which you hunt for clue about the current demon or ghost. You capture the demon & find clues about how the subject was killed & what happened. The game has a decent amount of spookiness to it, all though there are some features that should be added for some atmosphere. OK my problems with the game so far is after I completed the mission & went back to the basement, collected all the evidence & captured the demon, nothing happens. I applied all the evidence to the wall & just nothing but credits on the tablet. I'm assuming this is just the end of the game so far, but not sure. Some of the sounds in the game are way too inconsistently loud., also there's no background audio just silence. This may just be due to the nature of the game. The tablet will slowly drift away from your hand & you have to re-grip it to reset it back to it's position. This will happen while you're being hunted & it gets annoying after a while. Game needs a lot more work but so far pretty decent if you don't mind wandering around an abandoned school hunting a demon by yourself. lol. Can't wait to see more of the game & some fixes! My crazy edited playthough here: https://youtu.be/g6qWGkxS-Z4
The map is visually pleasing and big, the cube was very handy, and the tablet felt really nice. Not finished it yet but seems to have a decent amount of gameplay.
This is an amazing experience, the game does not rely on cheap jumpscare instead you'll explore and find clues while fighting demons
This is a greatest game I have ever seen on VR Horror game so far! The funniest thing ever was is when I was playing a game and talking to a Dev at the same time, It was pretty scary, after that and I went to go to bed, I was dreaming about it and it was a funniest dream I have ever seen in my life! But for real, please download it and show them support! (they deserve it!)
Played on both Samsung Odyssey+ and Quest 2 with Link. I beta tested this game before it was released. It's a nice atmospheric horror game with a bit of story and great environments. Graphics are decent. The developer legitimately puts good work into the game, and addressed all of the bugs that I found in the beta. I highly recommend giving this one a try.
