About
Retail Therapy is First Person Shooter with procedurally generated stores where you have to collect as many items as possible. while getting as many weapons (bats, pepper spray, etc), money and power ups (speed, power, and health) as you can until you can't anymore.
The big sale is here. You deserve a lot of a little something for yourself. Why should others have what you have? Just don't die.
The How it Plays
It's you, other customers, and the security. All of you are trying to make the best out of the chaos. Yours just so happens to be getting the best deals via five finger discount. But you have to be the last one standing.
Procedurally Generated Maps
Not every store is going to be the same. So, you gotta be prepared for whatever might be coming, including security guards, and hordes of irate customers.
Shop
Take what you've collected level to level, sell what you don't need and use your cash store exclusive items. They're worth it.
Upgrades
After each level make the choice of increasing your speed, power, or health but not all the upgrades will be available every single time. So, think carefully about what you'll need.

Retail Therapy is a fast paced retro 3D beat-em-up with fun enemies and wild powerups! Gives me some awesome Wolf3D vibes! Learning how to deal with the different enemies helps me get into the zone of hilariously murderizing other patrons and security guards. Be sure to smash the shelves for extra coins and goodies! Best weapon is the giant green punching gloves and the katana ... so much damage. If you're ready to step up to the challenge, it's a steal at this price! My top score so far is 194,200!
Fun game I played at Retropalooza in Texas. It does get difficult the further you go. Who doesn't need some retail therapy?
Great work! really fun! Ive played this game's demo with the dev and heard a lot about it. finally got to buy and play it and enjoyed it a ton. very fast paced fun and funny. I really enjoyed the upgrading system and the store vibe of things. very smooth run on my low end pc too so thanks for that. I wish you the best on your next game and im sure i will enjoy that too.
Summarized Feedback

After playing this, I would have to give it a small thumbs up. It's a nice take on the Boomer Shooter genre with cool graphics. However, there are a few things that stick out and remove me from a more streamlined experience. Regardless, Retail Therapy is still worth a try!
Gameplay loop is addicting
SFX was nice where it was used
Gun was satisfying to hit because of the hit-scan
Worked well on Linux!

Pain Points

Music was a little dissonant and repetitive to me at first but I settled in; I did like the later stages though
Enemy hurtboxes were a little unforgiving at times
Didn't find much justification for my arsenal besides fist and gun
Melee weapons were totally unnecessary to me once Big Fists was unlocked
Achievements didn't work for me
Arena seemed too large for enemies

Conclusion
It's a really decent take on the Boomer Shooter, especially as a first published title (congrats!). I think it's just lacking a few of the QoL features and polish I would expect from a more modern title. Despite that, the core gameplay loop is really addicting and satisfying to play. I found myself locked into a flow state a lot. It's got a great foundation, so that's why I think it's still worth a try.
