Resurrection : Nuke Island

"Resurrection : Nuke Island" is a badly made Unreal asset flip, an attempt to make some kind of real game by plagiarising assets from other developers (whether the license permits it or not, plagiarism is uncool). There's even some text-to-speech voices which just adds to the comedy/tragedy of this train wreck. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also a bunch of GenAI artwork... where this isn't made from stolen assets, it's AI slop. This is a nightmare in terms of quality, and it shows the developer had no talent whatsoever, relying on other people's work and GenAI because he just couldn't do the job himself. So it should be no surprise the developer didn't know how to assemble a working, enjoyable game either, and it shows. The quality here is just awful. This isn't really free as you're expected to pay up more money to unlock content/DLC so you can keep playing ($3 for extra weapons). This is some nasty, predatory pricing and PC gamers don't like it. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.[/quote] You can't make this up (but computers can)... in a show of complete and utter arrogance, to insult gamers everywhere, the developer responds to valid criticism of the defects of their failed game with an [b]AI GENERATED RESPONSE[/b]. AI detection indicates the developer response here is over 90% confirmed AI generated. You can see the arrogance and audacity of the developer, here. Zero respect for gamers. This deplorable attitude from a shady developer confirms absolutely that this game is just a valueless asset flip from a morally bankrupt "developer". This kind of thing absolutely gives indie devs a bad name. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this game to anyone.
