Resident Evil

Everyone calls this game a timeless classic for a reason. It really is. The atmosphere that every single area brings to the table is unique. You can play as either of the two characters. The gameplay is mostly the same, with the main difference being that Chris has more health but fewer inventory slots. Speaking of that, I AM SO GLAD that in this game I don't have to drop items on the floor just to come back for them later. You can simply store them in the item box and move on. It was such a relief. On the other hand, ammo is much scarcer here than it was in Resident Evil 0. Because I played Resident Evil 0 first, I already knew a good part of the story, which, I'm not going to lie, took away a little bit of the experience. Even so, I really enjoyed playing the game. I still had some struggles with the camera angles, but I liked the controls much more this time around. Opening the inventory with the Y button on the Xbox controller felt so much better. The only thing I really have to complain about is Invisible Enemy mode. Yes, you can see enemies in mirrors, and you can hear them, but I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated this mode. I only managed to finish it thanks to guides and a bit of luck. With all that said, this is 100% a true timeless classic and absolutely deserves all the praise it has received over the years.
