The older RE games are nothing like the newer ones. I do recommend this game, but if you can't separate old school games to new game content\controls, you probably wont have fun. I love the RE franchise and I'm working on 100% all of the main ones rn. There is something I love about each one i've played. Shinji Mikami and the dev team that worked on this game put a lot of passion and work into this game and it shows. The first playthrough is always the roughest, but after that, it smoothens out quickly. Id say the control system is the most dated thing about 0 and 1. I grew up on the "tank" controls and I don't have a problem with them. The remakes added "Alternate" controls which are much less "choppy\clunky" movement styles. I recommend this game to all fans of the RE franchise. But I warn people that are new to the RE verse that the old school games (1-4) are more difficult than the newer ones (5-9). Best of luck.
