I bought RE6 in a bundle with RE4 and RE5 and forced myself to 100% these games. And I did. Honestly: It was great.
[h3]STORY [Spoilers][/h3]
There are 4 campaigns. The whole game is about a zombie outbreak in Edonia and China.
[u]Leon's Campaign:[/u]
Leon and Helena search for Helena's sister and hunt Simmons who is responsible for the outbreak.
[u]Chris' Capaign:[/u]
Chris suffers from PTSD (from what happened back in RE5), but Piers brings him back to the BSAA. Their team investigate the situation in Edonia, they get attacked by Neo-Umbrella, Chris loses his entire team and searches revenge.
[u]Jake's Campaign:[/u]
Jake is a mercenary and also the son of Wesker, so Sherry's looking for him to use his blood as a cure. They flee from Edonia, but get caught and arrested. They also get hunted by a B.O.W.
[u]Ada's Campaign:[/u]
Ada's investigating the situations, but quickly realises that Neo-Umbrella made an evil clone of her. So her mission is to take down the clone and finish what's left of the bad guys.
You can play this game solo and in coop. If you play in coop, your partner can play "The Agent" in Ada's campaign. Otherwise you play alone.
[h3]CHARACTERS[/h3]
[u]Leon + Helena [/u]
Leon is an og, but I don't get the point of Helena. You get thrown into the game and she's just there. No introduction, just a short backstory and then you need to save her sister who you have no connection or relationship to. She mutates, you kill her. No one cares.
[u]Chris + Piers[/u]
I like them both. Piers is a cool character and very devoted to the BSAA. I like the friendship they develop.
[u]Jake + Sherry[/u]
At first I thought I wouldn't like Jake, because in the earlier Chapters of Leon and Chris when they all meet up, Jake seemed cold and arrogant. But once I started his campaign, I changed my opinion. He's smart and funny, a little bit like Leon but with an evil touch.
[u]Ada (+ Agent)[/u]
I didn't play the Agent in the Mainstory, so I can only speak for Ada. She's calm, calculating and ofc a little bit seductive.
[h3]GRAPHICS[/h3]
Compared to the og RE4 and RE5 the graphics evolved drastically. So much to see and so much detail!
[h3]CONTROLS[/h3]
The controls are sooo different to RE4 and RE5. They are much better now and you can finally move while aiming. Hooray!
You have so much movement possibilities. It's crazy. Dodge rolls in different directions, slides, aiming while sliding. The dev's really explored what they can make possible in this game. It's cool!
But it can be overwhelming so most of the time I didn't use much of it.
One thing that annoyed me was that sprinting and jumping is the same button (space on keyboard), so when I'm running, I sometimes get sucked into vaults.
[h3]GAMEPLAY[/h3]
As mentioned above, it's possible to play this game in coop like RE5. I played solo and had no problems with the AI-Partner.
Be prepared to play a different kind of RE. It's not bad. It's just different. The devs tried things out and that's okay. As someone who played the previous games, I can say they improved a lot in RE6.
Compared to RE4 and RE5 you shoot a lot more. It's more action heavy. It's like a game-version of the early 2000 RE-live-action-movies. For example: There are 500-kills-trophies for this game that you get by default. You don't need to grind those. They come naturally. Especially in Leon's campaign (the first campaign I played) there was so much shooting. You literally start the game and there are mobs of Zombies everywhere.
If you are looking for horror, gore and jumpscares, this game might not satisfy you.
[h3]LANGUAGE[/h3]
I'm german and you can play the whole game in german, but I would recommend playing in english. One weird thing I encountered was that you can't change the language in your options at the start of the game (in the menus). You need to finish the tutorial to get access to the menu at all.
[h3]DIFFICULTY[/h3]
I had no problems doing the difficulty trophies for this game.
One important thing for trophy hunters: Only do the last sub-chapters of every chapter. The game counts the whole chapter as finished in a certain difficulty if you only do the last sub-chapter.
[h3]GAMETIME[/h3]
Every chapter (with all sub-chapters) takes around 1 hour. Every campaign has 5 chapters, so every chapter takes around 5 hours to complete. 5 campaigns x 5 hours = 25 hours to finish the main story of the game.
I think it took me around 40 hours to finish all trophys for the main game and around 20 hours to finish the DLC's.
[h3]ACHIEVEMENTS[/h3]
This game is grindy af. If you do the 150-medal-trophy, don't forget that you can also earn medals in the DLC. I didn't know that and wasted way too much time trying to get hard medals in the story-campaigns. As mentioned above, if you do difficulty-trophys, just do the last sub-chapter of each chapter to speed things up. For the DLC's I recommend using the "Community"-tab of Steam to find people who are doing online-trophies. There are not much, and for some trophies you NEED 2 more people. I got lucky and was able to do some trophies with the same guys that did the RE5-online-trophies with me. (Thank you, guys!!)

I bought this game on sale and in a bundle. I would recommend buying it on sale too since the games are old and remakes are on the way.
