Resident Evil 4 (2005)

El juego, a pesar de tener sus buenos años (21 años al momento que escribo esto). Este título es una pieza de arte contemporáneo que rompió mis espectativas, las cuales ya eran bastante altas. La historia es cine combinando bien el terror, presente en sus áreas tétricas y música desesperante hasta cierto punto. Y la acción presente en las cinemáticas absurdas y los quicktime events. Pero ojo, cuenta con una movilidad tipo tanque (haciendo que tengas que detenerte para disparar, haciendo que no puedas moverte). Si sabes como acostumbrarte, en vez de volverse una desventaja (al ser esto único que ha envejecido medio mal) se volverá una manera divertida de jugar y probar una experiencia tan buena como lo es Resident Evil 4.

Good game you can play on PC this used to be on GameCube back in the day but I guess you can play on PC now and I think this is the HD version so graphics should be better. I know they have the new RE4 remake but I love this original version definitely worth buying on Steam I beat the game beginning to end. Some parts are fairly easy but others can be pretty challenging but you can still beat the game in the end its just kinda challenging but rewarding.

This game is one of the most influential games ever released. There's little to add to the conversation, but I'll try anyways. First, I think this PC port is miles better than the Ubisoft one, yet it's not perfect. I ABSOLUTELY recommend the fantastic work put in the Resident Evil 4 HD Restoration project. Do yourself a favor and play it with that one installed. With that, the PC port is the definite edition of Resident Evil 4. However, that is NOT the Resi 4 I played back then. While this has all the QoL and fixes you need, the game itself hasn't changed at all. This game is great in a lot of ways, but pacing and story aren't those. It's a long, and sometimes annoying game at times. In very common Resi fashion: the last area you visit if one of the worst. You actively don't want to play it. And that area serves as a significant part of both Ada's campaigns. You can't escape it. The story is bonkers with little support from the cast besides Leon and Ashley. I never expect great stories from Resident Evil games, but I still expected something better here, especially after whatever the hell happened in Code Veronica. As for the rest of the experience, fantastic. Excellent gameplay loop. The graphics still hold up. The music is not as present, however there are still some nice tracks. Leon is still a funny dumbass and a significant departure of what we expected after Resident Evil 2. And, at least for me, there are some satisfying reload animations, haha. If you haven't played the OG, I totally recommend it. Even though I still believe the remake improves a lot, the original has a place in your library. It's a fun experience, but one I recommend taking your time with.

It's a classic that you must play.
