Story and graphics are front and center here. Gameplay mainly exists to serve the overall presentation. Fun in the same way a compelling film is.

this has good story and fights are decent

I've been looking for a game like this since 'The Last Night' was announced. A pixel moody noir game with eye-catching visuals is an incredibly specific itch that I never knew needed scratching. Having said that, the game does suffer from dialogue that I can only describe as an 'angsty teenager', as well as a mid-section that really drags. In fact, I think they took way too long to present gameplay mechanics that added some great variety to combat and puzzles. Without which, it can feel like all you're doing is walking left for large portions of the game. Overall, this is a great first game for this studio and one of the first to mine a visual identity that I'm sure will birth more titles. I'm very happy I played this and got all the achievements (which were easy and relatively straightforward). And I look forward to their next title which I'm sure will improve on the weak elements of REPLACED (which are definitely outweighed by its positives).

Давно меня что-то так не затягивало. К прохождению рекомендую, хотя к сюжету есть вопросики... Местами игровое время затянуто, перебежками туда-сюда, но в целом очень доволен.

This is my first review and there is no other game more worthy of it. This game is fantastic, the story and world building are second to none. It isnt a long game but it sucks you in and gets you invested in every character you meet. I hope and pray that one day in the future there will be a Replaced 2

One of my favourite games from my younger days was Flashback on the Mega Drive so this is right up my street. Really captures a dystopian, sci-fi world, and for a side-scroller, the environments are absolutely amazing. Having a lot of fun with this, combat is fun, struggling a bit with the parry window, but that's probably me. Great game overall and definitely opened the door for me to look into more side-scrollers and 2.5D games.
