Incredible indie game, I was surprised with the storytelling full of details and information that leads you to the decision making at the end of the game. Some good scares that I wasn’t expecting and overall you can feel the spooky atmosphere in the building. The daily tasks were a good break from all the strange things happening to the player and I enjoyed them quite a bit. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good horror experience with a story that has meaning connecting it. Good value for its price.
The game has you playing the role of Robert Watford, a security guard, who has just started his first week at Colony Tower. Very quickly, it's obvious that things aren't quite right here as strange things start to happen and the residents all seem to be suffering from debilitating sadness and despair. Oh, and there's a creepy cult living in the apartment too. Each day you have a few chores to complete and as you wander around doing your job strange things happen. Robert keeps a diary and entries are filled in as you have conversations with residents and complete various events. There are timed events where if you don't figure out what to do you go insane and get a jumpscare that ends the game. The jumpscares are LOUD but they are, at least, somewhat appropriate. The story slowly unwinds as you discover more and more about the source of these strange events and there's a helpful investigative journalist living there who is more than willing to get involved. The graphics are simple but do the job adequately and the conversations with residents are actually interesting. There are multiple endings and you can see them all in one playthrough but I did miss a couple of achievements. I enjoyed the game so much that I played it again just to pick up those last two. It's a really good example of indie horror done well. It's unsettling and intriguing rather than overtly scary. The puzzles aren't too annoying and the story ties up neatly. Very satisfying to play and highly recommended.
