CPR Qualified. Story: You play as a worker on Mars. A massive storm has hit the station and has cause a major crisis. Teaming up with your AI companion you set out to help out the injured and restore the station. Relive isn't actually a game, as taking one glance at the store page tells you that this game is actually a CPR training game as it's meant to teach you how to perform it to a person in a situation that requires it. The story isn't actually that important at all and is meant to be just a backdrop to put you into a crisis scenario. Graphics: Visually Relive goes for a cel shaded look and for while I appreciate it, overall the game looks really ugly. The environments are incredibly ugly and just not that pleasing to look at. There's tons of low poly textures that just look very poor and the color palette especially is a weird choice cause the contrast of bright colors and brown lighting just looks very bland and mutes even the colorful lights. Audio: There's not much of audio design in Relive. It's one really horrible track that's constantly looping and is incredibly annoying and the other sound effects although not that impressive aren't too horrible. There's really not much to talk about here, since it is a free game meant to teach CPR. I will say that one of the biggest gripes I can muster about the game is that there's no voice acting. I feel like you can definitely teach CPR well through text, however I feel like it would be a cool thing if there was a voice helping you out throughout the experience. Gameplay: Relive is basically a walking simulator that asks you to do two things for the majority of the game and that is A) perform CPR and B) look for items to bring to a location. That's basically what you do for the majority of the game. So let's begin with the major aspect of it, the CPR teachings. For the most part, it actually does a solid job to give you a rundown of what you would need to do if you're tasked with actually going through with performing CPR. although the basics are what you will likely learn when you're going for your drivers license (at least I was), but it was a nice little refresher. As for the actual game moments, they suck, plain and simple and no denying it. Hunting for the items is just incredibly boring and honestly I feel like it would have been much more straight and to the point if it actually just stuck with the CPR training instead of you looking for power cores and stuff. Verdict: As a game, Relive sucks, however I really can't deny that as a tool to teach CPR, it's a pretty decent. If you ever attend a first aid class this game won't teach you anything new, but for those who haven't had such training, this is a nice little bite size lesson.
