TLDR: 5/10 Fantastic visuals. Very short playtime, by the numbers story that completely misses the point of the kink that it is based on. Explanation: If Steam allowed a neutral response this would get it. Visually great, storyline is a let down, game is too short. I got a series of the authors work in a bundle pack and can say for a certainty if you want something good by them go get Picture Perfect, it's his first work and quite well done. Everything else he does is a much shorter more water-downed version of the original with none of the impact of the original. At this point it's pretty clear that the game maker is just trying to pump out as many games as possible with the same theme in the shortest amount of story possible, the problem is the variation of a theme doesn't work particularly well in any of their other works. The incest kink is about longing "we want each other, but we can't be together because of societal norms/expectations." None of his works have that flavour beyond Picture Perfect, there is no build up, no real overcoming of the issue that you shouldn't be together - you both instantly pretty much realise your connection and go for it. If that's what you want - just get your standard vanilla AVN. That being said this has some of the best visuals he's ever done in a game and if that's all your after, get it.

What is Reconnecting? It's not just an AVN, it's a unique experience that shines with its own light by offering the player a progression that feels very organic. Nothing feels forced or strange while navigating through this superb game. The developer, SuperWriter, lives up to its name. The narration denotes sophistication and good taste, which is why the player's immersion is guaranteed from practically the first moments. If we add to this a script where every action and reaction of each character is credible, we have the formula for success. Kelly's design is a feast for the eyes. Her face is beautiful but radiates a certain innocence that makes her perfect for the role she plays in this endearing story of reconnecting with her lost father. To complete the package, she has an incredible body, capable of knocking your socks off just by seeing her in all her splendor. The h-scenes are incredibly hot, perfectly animated, and set in a context that elevates the eroticism of the scenes. [i]In short, Reconnecting goes a step further than the rest of the AVNs by offering a splendidly developed plot that flows naturally, with memorable and well-written characters, and the hottest H-scenes that a fan of this type of kink could wish for. Decent, although shorter, game from SuperWriter. I like this developer. This game has amazing graphics and the free choices guide was appreciated. Keep in mind to avoid if you are triggered by NTR, family relations. Please keep in mind you are given the options to change the relationships at the game beginning so that you're not offended.

Game that gets boring. Too repetitive.

I am not a fan of Kelly. She looks like she is old enough to be the protagonist's sister. It is also repetitive and boring.

Okay. Let's start with the elephant in the room. This dev's games seem to be incest based. In this game, at least, you are only dealing with one girl being related to you, but still there is a bit of an ick factor involved. Doesn't help that this time your daughter is married to someone else, even if he is... unable to provide enough sperm for her to get pregnant. Which, in the course of this game, (and with drinking involved) you remedy. There is more or less one path, with a few deviations. About the only one I can point out mattering is near the end, where your choice of song determines which intimate act you partake in. Aside from the subject matter, the story is decent. The graphics and music are great. Still, only recommended to those who can get past that one issue. And maybe get his offerings in the bundle. The other two that I've played so far have also been decent. There's even a cameo from one of them....
