I'm not sure I can recommend this one. I played it with a friend and we had a good time, but as some other reviews have said the ending made 0 sense. this means that they either want you to buy 3 $10 DLCs to finish the story you already paid 40 bucks for, or (and this is the worst case scenario) these 3 DLCs answer nothing and still cost an additional minimum of 30 bucks. either way it's a bad way to do the story, and considering that the gameplay hasn't evolved past little nightmares 1 aside from co-op, I'm honestly feeling some buyers remorse.
STORY SPOILERS BELOW HERE
[spoiler]so at the end of the game you learn that the four boys in your group did some sort of black magic involving lambs and they wound up sacrificing one of the boy's (the one you can play as) sister. why did they do this? we don't know. what did they gain from this? we also don't know. there is an ongoing war in this world so maybe they made a wish to end that and the result was the girl becoming host to a lamb-god that consumes the entire world. but, why did it eat her at the end too? and also why was she alive if she was a sacrifice? AND there's secret coffins you can find with ghosts of each of the 4 boys showing them being killed in various ways so apparently you're in the afterlife right now? but maybe also not? cause there's probably time travel in this universe maybe. here's an idea: the boys were going to be killed by the military (which seems to be fighting itself by the way) and sacrificed the girl to the lamb god to change their fate, but instead of dying to the military they ultimately died to the lamb god they made a sacrifice to despite not dying being the whole point of the sacrifice. you see how I can interpret this in anyway I want? that's because there's no actual answer. I just don't understand the point of the sacrifice if the lamb god didn't accept it from the boys or turn it on them and pity the girl, instead it just kills everything for fun I guess. oh and the sacrifice happened before the start of the game which re-contextualizes the entire game into making no sense because why would the girl still travel with the boys if they KILLED HER?[/spoiler]
