About
Quest users on Steam: Requires Oculus/Meta runtime set as default OpenXR.
Raze Vol. 1 is a satirical punk rock VR puzzle-platformer where you team up with Raze—a sharp-tongued leader of an underground punk band—who gets zapped into a twisted alternate reality after a freak stage accident involving her guitar pedal and a collapsing amp. Now trapped in a bizarre, influencer-dominated world, you and Raze must work together to escape four surreal, influencer-run environments built to manipulate and control everyone's thoughts, tastes, and ultimately, spending habits.
Armed with a glitching cybernetic arm that adapts to each world—flame, freeze, electricity, tractor beam—you’ll solve escape-room puzzles, platform through chaotic landscapes, and crush enemies. Dive directly into Raze’s mind, shifting into first-person to unlock her perspective, or use her damaged eye to reveal hidden clues and subvert traps set by MgaFusion’s corporate influencer overlords.
Raze is voiced by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, who brings her to life with raw, rebellious energy. The soundtrack features tracks from active punk and alt bands, fueling the action with real noise from the underground.
With a narrative full of satirical bite, genre-blending gameplay, and a heroine who embodies DIY ethos, anti-establishment rage, and pitch-black humor—Raze Vol. 1 is more than a VR game. It’s a playable riot against toxic media, fake personas, and the commodification of rebellion.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/Anu4AcGD9Lk I'll be honest and say that I cannot recommend this game. Normally, I would give a game like this a negative review but because it features the voice talents of Lzzy Hale from Halestorm and since I am a big fan of hers, I will keep this as a positive review. However, the only reason to buy this game currently is to support development. I experienced two crashes at the same location while playing this game, [strike]thus I am unable to progress.[/strike] (UPDATE: I found out that when you build too many bricks to cross, the game crashes so simply build only the minimum to cross this section on the 4th stage / level as seen on my video) Also, the controls for this game are pretty rough. Basically you push in on your motion controller joystick and then also press into the direction you want the laser to point so you can interact with the object. The movement isn't as precise and tight like it should be for a puzzle platformer (common thing in VR when they use motion controller joystick & buttons). The game is also too dark in certain places that you can barely see the platforms. However, the game's concept is really cool. I like the comic book cinematic scenes. I like the art-work and aesthetic. The music is fire. Lzzy Hale is a goddess. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. I was getting a steady 90 fps. I hope they fix the issues soon. It's only $5.99 USD so I'm happy to support development in hopes of a better game in the future. Rate ?/10. Buy only to support the developers.
I bought this game!
