Raybound

An amazing game, clearly made with love. I had a blast playing it, and while there were a fair few difficulty spikes I was able to get through them with a little help. The audio with this game is amazing and really enhances the experience. I enjoyed the humour, and the deep conversational parts of it. The ending actually made me smile more than a lot of other games have. The visual style variety worked really well in my opinion and added a lot to the experience. Each level brought something new mechanically without it being overwhelming, it has a really nice balance to keep things interesting while not going too crazy and making the experience frustrating. If you have a few hours to kill, and want to show some love to an Indie Developer, give this game a try! :)

[h1]きれいにまとまってるかなり良い横スクロールアクションゲーム[/h1] 非常に良い。是非色んな人に遊んで欲しい。 ゲームボリューム、音楽、ステージ構成、ギミック、演出、作りの丁寧さなど全体的にすごく気に入った。なお、それなりに話が色々ありそうだが全編英語なのでストーリーはさっぱり。でも充分に楽しめるアクションゲームだと思う。知名度の問題なのかレビューの数が少ないのが残念。 操作は左右移動とジャンプ、ダッシュ（マリオ的な素早く移動できる方のダッシュ）、攻撃だけ。コインは規定数集めるとライフを回復できる。インディーの横スクロールアクションは似たようなステージが続いたり理不尽なパズルがあったりするものだが、このゲームは次はどんなステージなのかとワクワクできた。きちんとやりごたえがあって最後まで遊びたいと思わせてくれたし、実際エンディングまで熱が冷めることなく遊べた。 すごく良いゲームだと思うので是非。

Haven't finished the game yet but from what I've played so far it's a great game! Has some amazing backgrounds that may surprise you. The music is one of the main highlights of the game along with some of the characters you meet along the way, although you may not get attached to them the dialogue more than makes up for it! (Also I see what you did with that RayBound pun in game lmao) 10/10 would buy again

Raybound is an extremely fun puzzle-platformer that is an absolute joy from start to finish. It has a charm unlike any other game I played. In this short 3-4 hour experience you will be treated to cute, vibrant levels filled with whimsy and colorful landscapes; along with dark and mysterious caverns and tunnels with many secrets and hidden paths that will constantly keep you on your toes. This is an experience unlike any other, with a very beautiful message told in its story. You will be invested from start to finish! Here are a few of the things that stood out the most throughout my experience: - Level design is top notch with smooth platforming and a variety of very creative environments! With many nooks and crannies that make exploration feel rewarding. - The game teaches new mechanics in a way that is easy to understand and fun to master. - There is never a shortage of new mechanics. The gameplay never feels stale. - With the game only being a couple hours, it feels satisfying to complete and respects the players time. There isn't much else I can say without spoiling, so I encourage other play the game for themselves. (it is free after all!) No game is without its hiccups, so here are a few things I would personally change: - Sometimes the momentum can feel kinda janky, with even the tiniest of obstacle totally killing jumps. - The game has a very noticeable difficulty spike towards the end of the game that most players would have a hard time adjusting too. I personally thought it was a fun challenge, but I can see a lot of players falling off at the end not wanting to deal with it. - [spoiler]THE ERASER SECTION IS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! (\if you know you know)[/spoiler]. Overall, I can describe this game nothing short of a hidden gem of an indie game. From the environments to the fun mechanics and beautifully diverse art style, this game is a must play for the low price of F-R-E-E! I hope to see more games like this in the future :D!

Raybound is a short, yet cool and charming platformer. I enjoyed the various mechanics that were introduced throughout the adventure and the puzzle-solving that came with such. The story was also pretty interesting and thought-provoking too, especially when things began to [spoiler]get meta[/spoiler]...and then things got [spoiler]EVEN MORE META[/spoiler]. And lastly, the music was beautiful and moving, adding to whatever moods were being evoked during gameplay. Considering that this game's free and caught me in awe a few times as I played, I highly recommend that you try out Raybound (and if you're like me you'll probably start playing, get hooked, then finish it all in one sitting)!
