Do you remember DINO RIDERS? In 1988 there was a cool 14 Episode Animation series about armoured Dinos. I loved it and sadly forgot About it. Until now. Welcome to RAPTOR EVOLUTION! At first, yes, this is mobile Game that found its way to Steam. No, the game has no microtransactions. You pay the price for the game and that's it. I recommend buying the 3 Raptor Skin DLCs, firstly because they really look cool, secondly because there are also additional resources which make the beginning much easier, and thirdly because the Reaason fpor me, I like to support the developers. The Developer ESTOTY is known for Mobile Games and next to RAPTOR REVOLUTION there are also MARS SURVIVOR and WEST ESCAPE here on Steam. Well you are a Raptor in a Postapocalyptic World. World has gone to hell and instead of Humans there are Goblinlike Creatures left. And that guys decided one day to steal your 5 Eggs!!! You will be suprised how that end at the End of the Game. Then your Raptor is a full armored Fighting Machine. A truly DINO RIDER Raptor. The core of the Game is to collect and evolve. Collect Ressources of all Kind by destroying everything around. Use this Ressources to evolve at Special Points on the Map. Better claws, Armour and Range Weapons. When you stay naxt to an enemy or something to destroy, your Raptor uses automatically Melee Weapons. If there is no Melee and it is in the Range of your Cannons, then they will fire at it. As I said, all of this happens automatically and you don't have to do anything for it. Later you can build up a Raptor Squad for Special Situations like Raids. You can also upgrade them later. If one is falling in a Battle, he Needs a short time to recover and come back. In the Game you also have to craft Ressources or Items. And here you Need RED GEMS. Most Craftings Need Time. With RED GEMS you can short the Time. I think on Mobile you have to pay for them but here on Steam you can earn them for example in hunts. The Gameplay is easy and fluid. The Animation are really nice and i love the Humor of the Game. It´s charming. Sounds fit well in and i love the Music in the back. RAPTOR EVOLUTION is a very nice casual but addicting Game. I love this Kind of Gameplay and i hope there will be more Games like this to come. And again, a charming Mobile Game WITHOUT Mircotransactions on Steam. One funny Thing. I returned 3 of 5 Eggs and have already all Achievements. Dear Devs, please make Achievements for each Egg, so that Achievement Hunter will Play that Pearl of a Game to the End. Finally someone did it. This is that dinosaur mobile game I keep seeing ads for. I hate mobile games because your constantly being spammed with ads , It's so nice to see games like this on steam. First off the game is very much a mobile game , you get materials to upgrade and when you upgrade there is a timer in real time you need to wait for the upgrade to be finished. Second It doesn't matter because every time you complete an objective it gives you gems , just use the gems to skip the timers. (There are no microtransactions except a few DLC skins which are not required for achievements). So far from what I've played I never have an issue running out of gems as long as I don't spend them on materials. This isn't a AAA action packed game it's a shut your brain off and farm materials type of game. It's not amazing but it's not bad either. The game does get boring after a bit and then you unlock something fancy for your dino later on that makes it a lot more fun. My only real gripe with the game is I'm nowhere near done and I've unlocked all achievements...Maybe add more for end game content

They left in the mobile game timers aka sit here for an our of real time or you can pay gems to speed things up, they could have just removed the timers. I’m contemplating refunding it I mean yes it’s less than a cup of coffee (not the overpriced Starbucks or Costa stuff just normal cafe coffee) but it’s not that bad, it’s definitely not what I was hoping for sadly and they can smell the gotcha games stink from a mile away because this has most of the dirty little tricks that bad gotcha games use longer than necessary timers on almost everything. Lots of different resources of you need to farm a LOT of them. And of course (because for some reason they left all the mobige stuff in when they moved it off the App Stores) gems! Now I will at least give them this they are drowning you in gems (you can bet that wasn’t the case in the mobile version) so you can skip most of the stuff I’m complaining about which brings me back to then why leave that stuff in its not like it’s fun. It also dosnt really make sense for my little rapter to have to go get a crank to repair a bridge so it can go across a river, I’m a velociraptor I don’t have opposable thumbs I’d just jump across it but this is very much cookie cutter stand in front of a tree or rock/crystal for hours hitting it with your little orange guy (there almost always orange for some reason) to gather Ludacris amounts of resources. So I’m not going to refund it but I definitely don’t recommend it to others there are much better games spend your money on!

Grafik zweckdienlich , das Gameplay flach, ich lieg vor Langeweile wach. Wer gerne auf die Uhrzeit starrt, der kriegt hier Gaming allererster Fahrt. Ich deinstallier' den Wartesimulator jetzt, mein Geduldsfaden ist komplett zerfetzt. Wenn ich Zeit absitzen will, ohne etwas tun zu dürfen, kann ich auch im Wartezimmer beim Zahnarzt sitzen – das kostet mich wenigstens keinen Strom. Typisches Handyspiel im PC-Gewand. Schade um die Lebenszeit!

Игра явно слизана с мобилки. Чисто на один раз побегать можно взять. В целом неплохо, но на данный момент пройти до конца игру нельзя.

EDIT: I'm super bummed to make this edit. After having spent nearly an additional day with the game, I was hit with a notification that I had completed the quest line and "all areas are open." This is despite only having saved 3/5 eggs, and NOT all areas are unlocked! I hope that someone comes back to finish this game, otherwise I think I have to retract my recommendation. And it's definitely not worth more than a few bucks in this state. Sad. Please don't stop, this is a great game! Having spent the last 109 minutes straight playing, and only pausing because I figured I should move my body out of the same position its been in for about 2 hours, I can say I like this game. In my old age of 31, I've slowed down, and that includes in the types of video games I play. I typically go for story-heavy narrative experiences, and I love a good puzzle. I've pretty much phased out combat games or anything requiring quick reactions or skillful movements. I want to be able to click all over my screen and eventually find the thing I'm supposed to find. (Platformers drive me mad - I was never that good at Super Mario, though some of my best childhood memories are with other Mario games like Paper Mario, Mario Party, and Super Mario Sunshine, the latter pushing it a bit.. A noteable exception was Yoshi's Island DS. I LOVED that platformer. I digress. Raptor Evolution isn't a platformer.) Raptor Evolution is a simple game, with simple mechanics and straightforward gameplay. This game is a piece of art, and I really don't want that understated. You play as a dinosaur, and you perform sick fighting moves to smash objects and enemies. You follow a linear quest line which offers frequent feelings of gratitude and accomplishment, and eliminates any question of what to do next to progress. You smash by standing close to and facing the thing (and if you don't start by facing it, your dinosaur will turn around on it's own to do so.) That's it, apart from a few adversaries have avoidable AOE attacks. You don't need to push a button to attack, the dinosaur will attempt to smash the thing if it is smashable. Smashed things drop resources, which are used to build things and upgrade skills. [spoiler] Certain things need a certain level in the skills to smash. [/spoiler] It's fixed perspective, no need to fiddle around with the camera every which way to make sure you're seeing what you need to (though I LOVE sticking my nose into every corner as I excessively explore an open-world..) There are several skills that require increasing numbers/combinations of resources to upgrade. Upgrades do work on a timer, which is maybe my biggest turn-off in the game. However, so far, it hasn't felt like I've needed to sit in one place and just wait. Every step of the quest line gives red gems which can be used to speed things up. When you unlock [spoiler] the hunts, you can play through some of those for additional resources, [/spoiler] and it makes the timer feel not too bad since it's pretty fun. The graphics are fun and somehow fresh, despite cartoony dinosaur games not being a new theme. You start in some dope looking tropical forest, post-apocalyptic with remnants of human markings seamlessly meshed with Mesozoic-esque ecology. You won't have to remember what you were doing when you come back to the game later. You don't have to learn a complex series of clicks and buttons to defeat your enemies. You probably honestly don't even need to know how to read to enjoy this game. It would probably be better with a controller, but I've been making it work just fine with my laptop keyboard. Mouse unnecessary. I get hand/wrist pain and this is one that I can play without making it worse. I needed something mindlessly entertaining tonight, without the elaborate crafting systems and parallel quest lines or fancy fingerwork. I love that stuff, but sometimes all that thinking is just too much, and/or my sore joints would prefer if I didn't. This one feels a bit like a mobile game in some regards, but like, a really good one. I like it. It runs smooth, looks good, and is joyfully simple. If I was unfortunate enough to have a child, especially on the younger side, I'd definitely be showing them this. It's a good game, kids deserve quality things, and there's nothing here that precludes an older gamer from appreciating it, as long as they aren't looking for a lot of complexity. And for the price? Absolutely worth it! I got it on sale but even full price $6 is really friendly.
