STEAM GAME
thios is a game
Railroader is a completely unfinished mess. There is absolutely zero guidance in this game; you are just left stranded with no idea what to do. Even the tutorial is so poorly designed that getting through it is pure torture. To make matters worse, the AI is completely brain-dead and can't even perform basic tasks. Do not throw your hard-earned money away on this half-baked game. Stay far away!
So far I've enjoyed Railroader, its a management game not as in depth as derail valley when it comes to driving. but for me personally I enjoy managing where cars are going, shunting and shifting yards and long passenegr services. the In game Auto Engineer work well although it would be nice if it could do tasks like looping around after finishing a passenger service or doing complex moves. but I'm happy with it an looking forward to the Maintenance of way update (MoW) coming soon, which will include a map editor and more in-depth track budling and maintenance

Incredible Simulation, not a "Farmville" style game
Fun game. Not finished yet but a am waiting for the day it is.
A fairly amazing game for fans of trains. It's really fun running the logistics operations of a short-line railroad. I'm only playing single-player, and one thing I'm not really sure of once I unlock more of the line is how this game will scale. Every train movement needs to be micromanaged by the player. It would be great to be able to set up multiple waypoints, auto handling of gladhands, etc. Or create rulesets like "when all cars are empty, deliver to the appropriate place with locomotive number 1", etc. Right now I have only three locomotives and have unlocked from Whittier Exchange to I believe Alarka Junction, but there is so much more to unlock. Once that's done, it seems like there's going to be an incredible amount of micromanagement involved in moving trains around to service all the industries, and I fear that it will become overwhelming rather than fun. Performance-wise, the game is also just ok. FPS is fine, but there is tons of scenery pop-in even on my high end machine. Some greater controls over visuals aside from "tree density" would be nice.
