Raft

Who knew there was such a story behind being stranded at sea and just building a raft to survive? I honestly thought this game was just going to be a general survival game where I would spend my time collecting resources and crafting everything I needed to stay alive. Little did I know I’d end up exploring abandoned cities taken over by robots, solving puzzles, and searching for items to progress the story. The story has been such a pleasant surprise, and I really enjoy how you uncover more of the world as you explore rather than having everything explained to you straight away. The raft building is also incredible. There are so many possibilities for how you can design and expand your raft that I honestly want to rebuild mine 1,000 times just to try different layouts. 😂 Resources don't feel overly scarce, which I really like, although there is still a bit of a grind involved. It never feels too frustrating, though, and there's usually something worth collecting or working towards. I went into Raft expecting a simple survival game, but it turned out to be so much more than that. The exploration, story, progression and raft building all work together really well. Definitely one of those games I wish I'd played sooner.
