You wake up in the desert and find yourself surrounded by some not too friendly ghouls. Blast your way out with your twin blasters! A unique control method lets you control a violent little action figure's arms and shoot Ghouls (not Zombies!) right in their dumb looking faces!

I like the control scheme, it's very interesting! Still haven't managed to beat the boss on easy :)
Puppet Blaster is a 3D rendered VR exclusive 2D top down wave survival shooter where you control what looks like some low poly/asset flipped cowboy thing and shoot zombies because, you know, I guess zombie asset packs are easy to get your hands on if you can't do video game graphics. The game seems to have been slapped together with the Unity TopDown asset pack/engine from More Mountains with some other flipped assets on top and the control scheme changed for VR. Asset flipping stuff but still using low poly assets is a lot like going shoplifting but just shoplifting the cheap store brand stuff when you could just as easily get something with some quality. It never makes sense to me. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. Imagine a game so bad that it was made VR exclusive, in the hopes that would prevent people playing it and comparing it to professionally developed games. On the upside this is at least free, so it's not a cash grab, but I'm not sure what the point of this is.

Nice to see a dev thinking outside the box for a change.

Komentarz + translator. Comment + translator. Oto nie duża darmowa przyjemna gra, w której pilotem niczym zdalnie sterowanym samochodzikiem. Kierujemy ruchami drwala wyposażonego w dwa blastery ogromnego kalibru. Gra polega na odnalezieniu kafelka z bossem i pokonaniu go. Boss jest wymagający. Rozgrywkę ułatwia nieco celowanie w głowę, i ustawienie wygodnej wysokości planszy z naszą kukiełką. This is not a big, free fun game in which you remote control like a remote-controlled car. You direct the movements of a lumberjack equipped with two blasters of huge caliber. The game is a full VR game, requires a game area with the ability to walk. The map (which we don't see) is randomly generated on a tiled basis, with one to four outputs. On each tile (except the boss tile) we have randomly generated opponents from three groups. Ghouls with different weapons, octopus, large bull. We do not see the whole tile, joystick move the character (front, back, left, right). But the rotation is guided by the head, and the direction of the blasters with your hands. The game is all about finding the boss tile and defeating it. The boss is demanding. It's a little easier when you aim at their head, and set the comfortable height of the board with our puppet. To start the tutorial, you need to wag your hand to the puppet. My rating is 5/10 for the fact that the game we get for free, +2 idea, +1 for playability, +1 good execution. -0.6 for the fact that the blasters are a little too close to each other, when we hold them by the body, and aiming left/right with such sticking, sometimes mixes. That is 8/10 in the category of free small games. It's a very strong 8/10. Polecam. Recommend.
Love it! It is stylish, it is funny, very atmospheric and quite unique! Cant get boss still, but I'll continue trying! I tried it in Oculus, even though it states it requires Vive, and it works perfectly with touch controllers!
Looks nice enough, very clean and well put together, controls are an intriguing puzzle to learn but ultimately just not very good. Simply too damn hard, couldn't beat it even on easy and didn't have the interest to continue trying. Can't recommend against it for the price of free, but I don't know how many people will actually particular enjoy it (much less actually complete it).
This game controls so poorly I'm not sure If I'll play much more of it but it is free even if the aiming is strange. Really strange. The fact I can't aim behind me without turning my body around is bad because if I do that, I'm no longer looking at the battle. you need to run in a full circle to aim behind yourself and in a game like this that means you need to be able to rotate and move many times per battle. maybe several times per enemy if you are doing it correctly. I can recommend this more as a oddity than as a game. the controls are just so bad, but interesting at the same time.
this game was lots of fun.
Fantastic fun .... Great idea for a vr title its like Moss but your a cowboy . really recommend this one for fans of vr
