This review will serve as a review of Proton as a whole rather than just for this specific version of Proton (Since none of the other versions of Proton have store pages lol) Proton is basically Wine on crack. It is revolutionary and pretty much mandatory for all Linux users imo Without Proton, most games on Steam Deck, Steam Machine, SteamOS, other Linux distros, etc. would barely run or require a lot of extra steps. Proton makes software essentially plug and play and I adore that about Valve, they develop solutions to problems most people wouldn't dare touch and that's because they actually care about making things BETTER in the tech industry. I hope to see Valve producing more amazing software like this going forward. They're the reason I still enjoy playing games in the modern gaming landscape.
