Protoball is a Movement Arena Sports Shooter, a blend of basketball and soccer crossed with high tech futuristic style. Players athletically jump, slide, run, grind and dash around the arena trying to pass the Protoball through the opponents goal. This is the game you've been waiting for.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

About
Protoball is an arena "shooter" with athletic movement & abilities. If you ever wondered what it's like when you cross Quake and Rocket League this is it.
Protoball is acombination of an Arena Shooter, Movement Shooter, and Futuristic Sports Game. Players can dash, slide, grind rails, shoot curve shots, and snipe opponents with energy shields or deflect the ball from scoring.
Protoball is an indie eSport with a growing community. This community organizes games and scrims in the Protoball discord. Play the training modes and alternate game modes to use the same skill sets in a different way.
Shoot Curve Balls to shape your shots and confuse opponents (and stunt on them).
Golf mode is incredible fun and a change of pace. Use Protoball mechanics but in a unique and clever way. Play along with friends, host your own matches, or play Party mode for a quick 3-hole match.
Pitball / Lavaball - The floor is lava, so are the walls and ceiling. Use your shield or the ball to BLAST your opponents off platforms and into the walls. More hits = more damage taken, until you're being launched into galactic space. Last person standing wins, best of 5.
Fight Club (don't talk about it), this is our newest and rawest game mode, but we can tell it's going to be amazing already. Plenty of updates happening, and tons of fun. Host your own server with some friends to test it out. C and Left Click attack in conjunction with WASD and Jump.
You can host your own servers and play training modes, or play online with friends. Protoball is here and you'll find a dedicated playerbase in our discord.

Protoball, Oh boy where do I begin here, I've been in the arena since the early days of development so I've gotta admit I'm a bit biased towards the concept of the game. Given that, it has a high replay-ability and it keeps me coming back to be the best player I can be in the earliest stages of what I see to be a great future competitive eSport. As a person who frequents FPS games like Valorant, CS:GO, Apex and Rocket League, I find this to be of the same repeat-ability and enjoyment to just hop in a game for both fun and competitive play styles. Sure there may be some bugs here and there, but that's what being a part of the Early Access is for. We've gotta smooth out the experience for others to enjoy the underlying game we all love and know can be successful. At this point, I as well as many others are committed to bringing you the best enjoyment out of this game as humanly possible. So join a server and come along for the ride. As for the Dev team, you know I love you guys and I'll never stop coming back to Protoball, we're in it for the long haul! -Jaar
Actually a fun game if you take an hour or two to learn the basics. Existing playerbase/devs are very good, but helpful. Has a high skill floor, but an even higher skill ceiling.

This game is one of the most incredible projects i have ever played. The mechanics, the skill curve, the community, every aspect of this game has brought me so much joy. Every part of this game has been enjoyable, challenging, and extremely rewarding to learn and master. It truly is my favorite game of all time. I hope to continue playing for years to come and even longer. There has been ups and downs, but there are those who are passionate and dedicated to making this game incredible and i want to thank everyone of them that have contributed to such a memorable experience. I highly recommend old and new players check out all the updates and improvement that have been made to the game recently! Its a blast!
ProtoBall is one of the most fun and fast-paced games I’ve played in a long time! It’s like Rocket League meets arena shooter, but with a totally unique twist that keeps every match exciting and unpredictable. The movement feels smooth and responsive, the ball mechanics are satisfying, and the gameplay rewards skill without feeling punishing to newcomers. The game modes are well-designed, and the teamwork aspect adds a lot of depth. When you pull off a perfectly timed pass or goal, it’s chef’s kiss. I’ve also had no issues with performance—everything runs great, and the visuals are clean and futuristic. If you’re looking for something fresh that combines competitive action with creative mechanics, give ProtoBall a shot. Can’t wait to see how the devs expand on this—there’s huge potential here!
Unbelievably high mechanical ceiling, creative tech, and an amazing community. I would recommend for all new players to join the discord. There are many helpful players there who help you learn the game and organize matches. Overall 10/10.
Been following the devs behind this game for a few years now and got to know them well. Protoball has come very far from the early pre-alpha stages where I started playing. Gameplay is a fast paced low gravity team handball experience. Where team coordination, precise movement, and keen reflexes play a large role in your success. Currently the game offers only a quick play matchmaking option, but skill based matchmaking is planned for the future. Those interested in a more competitive setting can join the tournaments hosted by Protoball within the game (A tournament is planned to happen before the end of September). While tournaments currently can only be hosted by the devs, the goal for the future is to extend that ability to all players. I'm not a big fan of sports video games, if anything I preferred the over the top games like NFL/NBA Street where you could wall run, and had a combo point counter for style. Protoball sort of has that charm to me, where you can jump over people and launch into the air breaking necks as people look to the heavens for where you went. All The While the game can still be very competitive. When that clock counts down and there’s potential to win the game on a buzzerbeater goal everyone is dialed in trying to win. I think Protoball has plenty to offer, learn the movement, grab mechanics, get comfortable shooting around in the practice arena, and then pop into a quick play game and score some goals.
Game is solid! Join the Discord. Community is very helpful!!
This game is very rewarding when you get good at the mechanics even as a new player its loads of fun. The Devs are very interactive and will answer any questions you have in discord. If you like technical high level game play and a competitive scene this game is for you
Me and my friends played the ♥♥♥♥ out of the OG Protoball. The fact that the devs have remade it, is seriously dope after all these years. Good for y'all, love the new graphics and engine.
