About
Progress Chess is a whole chess world on your computer, with its own clubs, tournaments, chess players and awards, where you can study chess and improve your skills, along the way making a virtual career as a chess player from a complete beginner to a master, and maybe even to the World Champion. In this game, chess players of absolutely any level will find suitable opponents.
Here you can compete with more than 80 virtual human chess players of different levels and playing styles: from a beginner who has just learned the rules to an international grandmaster with an ELO rating of over 2700. You can play training games, random games for rating, or you can take part in full-fledged tournaments held according to the round robin, Swiss, or Olympic systems and win virtual awards. Games take place in realistic virtual locations, such as a restaurant, a children's room, a school, or a chess club.
As your skill grows, you will be assigned ranks and an ELO rating. If you are just starting to learn chess, you have several training modes available: a basic course for beginners, where you will master the rules of the game and the basics of chess theory, as well as an advanced course for solving combination problems and studies.
You will find computer models of all past and current world champions plus a huge collection of their games available for study and computer analysis. You can play a game with a virtual model of the champion in the corresponding historical location, for example in the Column Hall of the House of Unions in Moscow!
More than 80 voiced virtual chess players from beginners to grandmasters, each with their own character and playing style.
Extensive training mode capabilities: setting a given position and arbitrary time control: blitz, fast chess, classic, etc.

Очень понравилась.
I made a virtual child swear out loud. 10/10
Many faults but the main one is an awful chess engine, seems to have to actual levels simple/master and just flips between them no matter what the player elo is.
DO NOT BUY. Very poor engine. Inconsistent opponent ratings. Just a poor quality game. This game feels like it is still in very early BETA stage, which is obvious when you read the updates on steam by the creator. The background of the game startup shows a chess set not in the game. Yet. Who knows? Misleading. Chess Ultra wins again.
Mir gefällt das Spiel sehr gut.
The meat of this game works quite well, the bots actually take time to think, and the amount of backgrounds and sets is really good. Tournaments are a really sweet idea too. However! The ai art for every character and achievement is slightly sickening to look at. Strange and inconsistent with the style of slop used. Bit odd considering it looks like a decent amount of time and effort went in to other aspects of the game. I mean jee this man in the second achievement is shaking a right hand with his left, could we not have another look at that maybe? Despite that, it's on the cheaper side and honestly one of the better of these types of solo chess games, so I would say buy!
