Controls are pretty bad. Not very fun or engaging. Difficulty is way too high in many areas and the controls just make it worse. Not really a gauge of IQ or brain power due to things being extremely difficult and really built on repetition training. That's not really brain training. Glad I didn't pay too much for it. Scoring high is not really based on your IQ or brain capacity, but similar to old NES Japanese games, it's based on grinding and repetition. Karate Kid comes to mind, where the difficulty is extremely high right away and you just play the levels over and over until you just memorize every move. So, that's not real brain training or IQ development. And again, the controls are awful which only add to it being a frustrating repetition training game. The online brain training sites do a much better job at random games that do some amount of brain development and IQ development. Actually, I've learned over the years, playing stress puzzle map games like Doom or Quake are way better brain trainers. You have stress, action, puzzles, secrets, navigating, mapping, detailing, etc.
Basically a Rubik's Cube version of Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training for Steam. Beware! I highly recommend using a controller for this, as the keyboard controls are mapped oddly. Besides that, there's about 2 dozen games to try and train. Some minigames are nearly impossible to get 100% without some luck (I'm looking at you "Rolling Cube", you motion blurry thing). Getting your scores evaluated and categorized into something like "Bookworm" or "Academic" is also fun. The free play games are also pretty cool, my favorite being Colored Gates. Definitely a good grab if you can get it for a dollar. Still a decent grab because there really isn't anything like this on Steam. TLDR; GRAB THIS GAME IF YOU LIKE BRAIN TRAINING. IT SCRATCHES THE ITCH.
my son hates the game
Jogava no nintendo. Quando descobri que tinha pra PC já logo comprei. Recomendo!
