We had FPS Professionals send us direct emails with extremely positive reviews claiming Synergy as a incredible Arena Shooter saying, "This game is better than Halo: Infinite, Apex Legends, Battlefield 2042, Overwatch, and pretty much everything else out there! We look forward to the full release".

Whole game is a mess honestly. GUI menus are poorly designed, cluttered, and often just unresponsive. The lighting effects and bloom make things incredibly hard to see, and frankly nothing about the game looks, or plays well - Game offers nothing you can't get from just about every F2P AFPS game on the market right now, and most of those games will be far better optimized. There's also zero transparency from the devs. The entire basis is that it's designed by an "eSports Professional", but they'll go to lengths to make up reasons why they can't tell you who it is. They have a feature coming up that will bring in 1000's of players, and tournament funding, buuuutttt they can't tell you when, or with who. Online play continually pushed back, pretty much on a weekly basis at this point. Even on this page now, the devs still advertise online play available 25th - Whole thing feels like a ploy to download ♥♥♥♥♥♥ software. Edit (11/20/2021) - After having my profile spammed to remove my negative review, and seeing that every positive review comes from obvious dev and bot accounts, I figured I'd stop back to let everyone know that the game is still an unplayable waste of time. The media contract excuse as to why we can't know anything about the dev team, seriously needs work. Keep pushing that premium though lmao. Between the broken english, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ design, and blatant lies.. it's not super difficult to see whats going on here.

Using this to replace my original review due to dev reply, original review is gone due to character limit
Menus
They suck, and I'm going to try to describe it and actually explain why it's bad primarily through the lack of guidance. So, lets say you want to play an actual round. What's the first thing you do? You want to play a simple unranked game right? So you would ordinarily look for a play/muliplayer button. This does not exist. What does exist is: Leaderboard Settings "Ascension Handbook: VitalZ" [Some sort of general life tip collection?] Premium Membership And finally... Ranked Playlist. There is no unranked. This is a bit confusing as you would probably just want to jump into a stress-free game to practice maybe, get used to the game. But this just doesn't exist. So, the play button is your "Ranked Playlist" button, and that's the only way to get into the game instead of a "play" button or another option. The Ranked Playlist menu has more issues though, because for some reason it's more than just gameplay related things in here. There's also the "Valkyria Records" button here for their lore. Why their lore is in the play menu I have no clue.
Settings
This also is a response to the developers, but I will reiterate this slightly at the end. The graphical settings menu makes little sense. Some parts are fine, actually standard like "FPS Limit" and "FPS Counter." Others are not. Please tell me what "Bloom Dream Vision" means, and especially what the options "Crystal," "Supernatural," and "Awakened" mean, because this doesn't tell me anything. Under "Performance Mode" it's even worse because there is exactly zero explanation to any idea what this could ever be (unlike the last option, which likely is for the bloom in the game). There is 2 toggle boxes in this, the "Elysium" and "Mystical Elysium" options which do god knows what. There is no explanation at all for what these do. Generally the rest of the settings menu is okay, generally usable.
In-Game GUI
To sum up my feelings, too much of the screen is taken up by garbage. Only going to mention criticisms, if I don't mention it I don't see an issue in it. 2 of the elements in the bottom right don't look so well, expecially the character portrait taking up a ton of screen space in the bottom left. While it doesn't stop you from playing the game, it doesn't need to exist nor does it need to be as big as it is. Screen visibility in a competitive shooter matters. Your crosshair is very usable, but simultaneously hideous and a mess. It's 3 seperate circles, one of which is animated spinning and huge and surrounded by 9 blue circles which represent some resource I don't understand. Sometimes it goes down, and I have no idea why. Also, you can't quit midmatch. Pressing Escape midmatch leaves the following message below the Settings button: "Please wait until matchmaking round is over before leaving"
Weapons
Cyberlink: Hit-scanning pistol with what seems like a "homing" function that makes it hit as long as you shoot near your target. Also the only weapon with any type of knockback. Sun&Moon: A shotgun? that's absolutely broken. The gun either does its max dmg, or doesn't hit at all. It seems to hit enemies in a cone with extraordinary range, hitting well into the beginning of long-range combat, making it the go to weapon for almost all encounters. Firecaster: Projectile based automatic weapon, does less dmg than the Cyberlink at a slightly faster fire rate, honestly it kind of sucks. CosmicAlce: A rocket launcher that, no matter what I do, does 0 dmg. It clearly has an explosion, hitting enemies far out of where it initially hit, but it does 0 dmg whether or not I directly hit the enemy. LPA: A railgun type weapon with a slow firerate doing about 1.5x that of the Cyberlink, but due to the low firerate it might honestly be better to just use the Cyberlink instead. DMG: The actual rocket launcher of the game. It looks like a grenade launcher but it doesn't seem to have any projectile gravity and actually does damage. In summary, the only 3 guns you should actually be using are the Cyberlink, Sun&Moon, and DMG. The other weapons are useless because they are either outclassed by the other weapons or just don't do anything. Divine Shield: Not really a weapon, but a shield with limited energy (displayed beneath the HP bar) that makes you completely invincible for a short period. During this period you also can't shoot. Not sure why you would use it. Very situationally useful.
Addressing The Dev.
"This reviewer is clearly here just to attempt creating a bad reputation for the game: (I wouldn't be surprised if this is from a competitor)" I'm just trying to stop people from wasting their damn time, this game sucks compared to your best competitors, Quake, Unreal Tournament, and other free Arena shooters. "The reviewer goes in great lengths to talk about how bad our menus are, but they are literally like any other videogame menu out there." The play button still isn't very obvious, it should be fairly obvious and require literally no thinking. Every other game I have ever played didn't require me to think about where the play button was. "I suppose the reviewer doesn't know what the terms 'anti-aliasing', 'texture quality', and 'shadows' mean." (in response to me criticizing the settings menu) I was mostly talking about the performance settings, which I admit I wasn't being fair to generalizing to the entire menu. Despite this, as said above the settings menu has lots of ambiguity. "We wanted to create a new art experience" (in response to my criticism of the use of terms like "Script" for kills) This is total bull-crap, the immersion comment could have been used if this was a story-based game, but this is not that. This is a multiplayer pvp based game. "immersion" doesn't exist really here. Some of the reasons I mentioned this originally though have been remedied. "In our first time tutorial, where all weapons are explained, it clearly says that this is a Locator/X-ray type gun..." First of all, the tutorial didn't properly explain the guns. Second of all, what does this mean? Is it just meant to do 0 dmg to help you find people? Why not just have it outline the players for a second instead of making it do 0 dmg. A locator gun on first thought made me think it was homing... which it isn't. "Actually there is ZERO bloom by default." You're right, there isn't, but there is in the options and it's so, so, excessive. "If you can't find how this is practically overpowered..." (talking about the shield) This is the entirety of what they said. They didn't explain. I have no idea why it would ever be "practically overpowered" considering the fact you can't even shoot during it. It's a purely defensive maneuver that I can't figure out the practicality of. "Killstreak only names" This point I admit I either completely missed or they updated (in the case of the update, I applaud them). [Part about shotgun, too long for character limit] Never in the original review did I ever say to "default to the shotgun" or anything along those lines. I said to use the pistol, the shotgun, and rarely the other weapons. Besides, the shotgun has a huge range. "This is absolutely false" (in me saying enabling performance modew creates lower frames) My original statement was implied speculation, and I have honestly no clue nor care to want to properly test if it does because I still have no idea what the performance options do. I admit, a couple parts were me being wrong, but this response only made me want to improve my review and actually refute everything they say or clarify everything. I hope they either take this as a solid criticism or people stop playing this garbage and play the other free alternatives (there's other free arena shooters out there with dedicated communities, if you want an arena shooter just search!)
Developer is a coward who refuses to fight me after saying he was an elite FPS god
If this game wasn't created as a joke. Then its one of the worst video games every created on steam. However, if this is a game developed to show you exactly what not to do. Then Bravo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvfu0DwqYlY They have tried to rename this trash of a game from Enherjar Synergy to "Pro Arena Alpha". It's still the same Trash. !WARNING! - Had to update this review just cause of this. Twitter - @thesmango
Enherjar Synergy is a very early access FPS PvP arena shooter with a neon hippy theme, which, with astonishing brevity, shows us the developers don't know a lot about PvP arena shooters, where neon is appropriate to use in a video game, or anything related to hippies. One thing that's synonymous with hippies is drugs, and you would need to take a lot of them to understand the convoluted train wreck of a menu here. If you can even discern the neon menu amongst the low key psychedelic neon background. Once you manage to bash your way through the menu you'll discover PvP isn't yet enabled (soon, maybe, but let's face it, nobody is gonna be playing this without drastic changes). But you can do botmatches. Finally getting into the game, you'll discover the developers never saw a gaming PC before and decided to map the trim of my HOTAS to "look up" and "turn right". There's no apparent way to disable this hamfisted control bungling from the developers, and watching the godawful neon theme spinning over your head constantly is really a one way express trip to Nauseatown. The developers have made the fundamental basic flaw of confusing other players with content. Other players are not an acceptable substitute for content. Very few multiplayer only games "go viral" and succeed. Launching a PvP only game into Early Access is a death sentence for the game. Players will go on, poke around, and they absolutely will not stick around to see if a bad Early Access experience improves. This happens time and time and time again, I've reviewed hundreds of games on the same trajectory as this one. Without single player content to fall back on, the PvP component must compete with far better, stronger, fully populated FPS competitors. In that comparison, this is a dead game walking. So there's a slew of technical problems piled on top of a lot of hard work (or at least some hard work, maybe not a lot) that was put into a fairly terrible game concept that's been implemented badly. It looks bad, plays bad, has broken controls... the list goes on. Sure, it's very early access, but I've seen a lot of early access and I can just tell this one is not going anywhere. But it's free! Not really. They just want free alpha testing, they've indicated an intention to charge $6 for a "premium" version of the game, whatever that means. To me, it means the developers aren't going to get any leeway for making their game "free". Frankly, I'd pay them $6 if they could travel back in time and convince 30 minutes ago me to not launch this game. Games don't exist in a vacuum. It pays to look around the marketplace before spending a lot of time and effort on a product that will fail immediately against superior competition in the market. Games like CS:GO, Destiny 2, Apex Legends... the list goes on.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer mentions my review was written in Early Access. I said that too. Not sure what the developer is proving by that somewhat pointless statement, but it is worth mentioning the developer turned off the Early Access sign without doing any notable improvements to the flaming dumpster fire that is Enherjar Synergy. I always thought the point of Early Access was that you finish the game and then turn off Early Access. I guess Cosmic Perspective Studio feels differently. As usual, it's up to the gamers to judge. And they have judged indeed. SteamDB shows my prediction was correct, the EA launch of a multiplayer only game with no content will prevent it from "going viral", and that is what happened here. With a peak of 67 players at launch (pitifully low), the game is now completely dead with a 3 player daily peak, and that number is going down. Let's go over the developers point form responses and go over why the developer is wrong and attempting to mislead gamers. The developer claims the visuals of the game have been reworked and that I am somehow wrong. I reinstalled the game, and confirmed the visuals are UNCHANGED. It's unclear why the developer lied about this. The aspects of my review pertaining to visuals stand as-is. The developer attacks the wording of my review and skirts around the content, this is simply an attempt to throw shade at a reviewer because the developer cannot accept the truth. Attacking reviewers on Steam makes developers look bad, and this is why Valve put their guidelines in... the guidelines the developer is wilfully ignoring here. My review stands, the developers don't understand hippies or FPS games, and you would still need to be on drugs to make sense of their godawful menu structure and design scheme. The developer admits their menu is a trainwreck. They claim it's fixed, but I checked, and it's still a trainwreck. The developer admits they have problems keeping their programmers interested in the project. With their terrible attitude towards gamers, why am I not surprised they have problems managing thier own staff, too? The developer claims I'm trolling because I own a PC gaming rig with gaming peripherals, and attempts to slag off PC gamers, instead of owning up to the fact that they badly bungled the control scheme for their game. I wish we lived in a world where bad game developers fixed the obvious problems in their software instead of attempting to insult and discredit the people who bring those problems to their attention. Developers must test their software, developers must own the problems and defects in their software, instead of attacking gamers. The developer notes that I correctly supplied facts about missing game functionality while the game is in Early Access. I'm obliged to advise gamers of defects and deficiencies in their products. The developer claims they added content to the game. Botmatches, empty neon PvP arenas, and other players (if they were any) are not an acceptable substitute for adding story/progression based interactive game content to a game. My review stands correct as-is. The developer rants about their entitlement to get paid for doing a terrible job at game development. This is a lot like a homeless guy being upset you didn't pay any tips when they splashed dirty water on your car windscreen at the traffic lights. Digital panhandling is no different from real world panhandling. This industry is a capitalist market, and developers who fail are not entitled to getting paid for work of substandard quality. The developer claims they have players on their current build that claim the game is better than every AAA title I listed. This is an outright lie, SteamDB only shows 3 players peak. The game is objectively bad. The developer claims I only "played" their game for 15 minutes. I already pointed out it's unplayable, with broken controls and no actual players to make a match with. The developer hasn't bothered to fix the broken control scheme, and the deplorably bad quality of this wreck has deterred all other gamers. It doesn't take even as long as 15 minutes to determine the objective facts of my review. We can only wonder why the developer has made an embarrassing attempt to mislead gamers by trying to dispute the rock solid facts of my review, and sling shade at reviewers instead of addressing the issues.
This game is INCREDIBLY hard to look at. It is by far the ugliest game I have ever played. The environments are built with just WAY over the top Neon and Boom. Your enemies are just beams of light by the looks of it and to top it off, there's an UGLY as hell dirty visor screen filter thing going on and it's horrendous. I streamed my first-time experience with this and I couldn't finish a game because it's just so difficult to just look at despite several attempts. I have no idea whether the map designs are good, or if anything else is good because the visual aesthetic is not it chief.
The arena shooter is not well received by most reviewers. Most of the problem was with the player base and the inevitable cheaters. At present this game is now a single player FPS which at least makes the artwork useful while developers try to get the multiplayer fixed. This game is futuristic by nature, The game has some role playing facets and even has some magic effects, Given this is free I cannot say it is bad as the setup for a shooter it does have some redeeming characteristics, I played this on my Dell Latitude 5440 and it is playable.
⠀
A fresh, Original, and powerful FPS game.
I played this game some time ago, and after looking at some of the other reviews, I decided to make my own. It's Ass. But my favorite thing about this whole game is the incredibly ridiculous story they try to sell you. They keep mentioning "professionals" but provide no more than a "trust me, bro" to back up their claims. Apparently, the designer won some tournament almost a decade ago, and ahh... that's it. I've also found some very fake reviews on the game from "gaming veterans." Whoever is marketing this game seems to think that pros and veterans are some sort of end all be all. If they say it's good, it must be good. And in the description, they say an "organization launched an attack on them." This guy is a conspiracy theorist because I can guarantee you nobody cares enough about this game to launch an ORGANIZED ATTACK. TLDR: Game ass. Owner insane.
