First instalment in the series of 2D action side-scrollers, taking place in very distant galaxy and not so distant future. Gameplay main hallmarks are fast-paced laser guns shootouts, punch 'n' kick combats, managing obby-like obstacles, using wits in overcoming deadly traps and witty dialogues.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Princess Maira: Initiation is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. This is a really lazy Unity asset flip, although it's not a 1:1 flip, everything here is made by ripping off existing asset packs and filling out templates. The game itself is just a basic platformer/shooter/brawler template. All the "art" is fake, make with Unity addons like the real developer, Simpletons Character Creator 2D asset pack. Nothing here is a genuine product from a real game developer, and it shows. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players, and they were the fake accounts used by the developer to create the paid fake reviews. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Princess Maira: Initiation is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. They're all written in broken English (translated badly from Russian), appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product.
Profile Features Limited!
Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Princess Maira: Initiation is, overall, a pretty good game waiting for you - arcade action 2D side-scrollers, sci-fi laser shooters, smart and daring gobbies, games with a rich storyline and witty dialogues, games featuring the main characters are women. In general, I recommend to familiarize all those interested.
categorically did not like the game, they were much better!
I don't know who might like this game, after 2 hours I realized that this adventure game is boring, there is no interesting story of its own But the game is not interesting for me(((
The game is far from the best quality, it has problems and several bugs, but the main thing is that it is interesting to play and has great potential.
I loved this 2D action game. The location is beautifully made, everywhere there is good graphics and effects. I liked that you can choose between 3 character classes right in the battle, these are Brawler, Balanced, and Shooter. There are so many objects you can interact with, it's cool! Good game!
The gameplay is not difficult, but as a lover of similar indie games, I appreciate what they did. The game story and dialogues are extremely interesting.
Quite a good game with elements of an alien theme and science fiction. I recommend to fans of high-quality 2D games.
2D arcade game in which you have to jump over traps and kill enemies. You can blow up barrels to defeat enemies more effectively. There are dialogues and different classes of characters. I would like the game to look a little prettier and to add game achievements. In general, so far not bad.
The story, in my opinion, is too simple, but the gameplay makes a good impression. For such a small price, I recommend it.
