I haven't played too many immersive sims, but I seem to have accidentally stumbled upon a great one. The craziest part is that Mooncrash is absolutely godtier, but almost no one played it.

I started playing this game a long time ago on the Xbox one classic as a Christmas gift when I was like 10. Needless to say, the game has aged VERY well, and no other game has came even remotely close to replicating the feel that this game gives when playing it. Every door has 2 or even 3 ways to get into the rooms behind it, there's limited supplies, the stealth and combat is good (especially the GLOO Gun). Very fun game, would recommend playing it, 10/10 experience prob one of the best and most underrated games of all time.

Prey is an absolutely fantastic game and easily one of the most enjoyable games I've played. The exploration is one of the biggest highlights. Talos I is an incredible setting, and exploring the station never feels like you're simply moving from one level to another. There are secrets everywhere, different paths to take, and plenty of reasons to revisit areas as you gain new abilities and equipment. The gameplay is challenging, but in a way that makes it genuinely fun. The Typhon can be dangerous, especially when you're not prepared, and resources aren't always plentiful. You have to think about how you approach encounters instead of simply running in and shooting everything. The abilities and upgrades are also fantastic. You have a huge amount of freedom in how you build your character and deal with situations. You can focus on human abilities, experiment with Typhon powers, or combine the two. There are often multiple ways to solve a problem, and discovering those options is incredibly satisfying. The atmosphere is another huge strength. Talos I feels isolated, mysterious, and genuinely dangerous. Exploring the station while slowly uncovering what happened creates an amazing sense of tension and curiosity. The story is also really enjoyable, with plenty of mysteries surrounding the station, the Typhon, and your own situation. It constantly gives you reasons to keep exploring and find out what happened. Prey manages to combine exploration, immersive environments, challenging combat, character progression, and a great story into one incredibly enjoyable experience.
