Portal 2

This game vastly improves on all aspects of the first one, with more visually busy environments than the stark white rooms of the first Portal entry. Voice work in this game is great too with pleasant performances from the cast and voice actors. However the games writing is pretty dated and so is the humour, Cave Johnson's parts are okay but the dialogue is stuck in its time which is not the games fault really but I ultimately didn't find it hitting for me. The puzzles are reasonably accessible with only the last room on chapter 8 making stop and pause. The music at the end is nice and whilst still using the 2010 repetitive internet humour as a core part of the songs writing, it is still nice to listen to. I just didn't find any part of this game resonating with me at all and it illcited zero feelings other than boredom and I think I just have to put it to age, I know it isn't the most fair criticism but that is the explanation I have landed upon to understand why I find this game so dull. The co-op experience is good fun though and this game is totally worth purchasing to play through those levels with a friend.

a must-play game. amazing characters, good difficulty, and great graphics (for its time) which still hold up today. probably one of the best games of all time
